If you're looking for the best bang for your buck and travel a decent amount, check out the citi hilton honors card.

you get 2x free stays AT ANY HILTON RESORT (Im probably going to puerto vallarta next spring, it's around 700$ a night). You also get gold status for having the card and diamond if you spend 40k a year on the card.

If you're traveling more than I'd say, 20 times a year, and you're able to stay at Hilton hotels (10x points per dollar spent @ hilton, 3x ppd on all purchases) then I'd say that's the best bang for your buck.

The US Air card is the exact same as the Delta/United cards, although I'd HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend passing on the US Air card. They merged with American Airlines last year and later this year they'll be fully converting to American Airlines.

If you want a CC with an airline that will actually be an airline next year BUT you really want US Air, sign up for the American Airlines card. The 50k miles is enough for 1x round trip (weekday coach) ticket to certain destinations. The one-way ticket prices in points can range anywhere from 25k-50k for 1 ticket, so you have to find the departing and returning 25k tickets to the destination to actually be able to get a full round trip out of it.

There are other cards that you'll make more money off of if you're not traveling at all and just want % back, but be wary, some have great deals (us bank card had like 8% back at hotels no limit 2 years ago, now it's 5% back up to 200$ a year which is fucking stupid.) Also, places that give 5% for grocery/bookstore count ALL amazon purchases as grocery/bookstore, so if you do a lot of online shopping you may be interested in that card.
