Davante is a class act and always has been. The dude literally walked right in front of him lol. Spur of the moment reaction.

Dude is an absolute pussy for filing charges though. Just looking for a paycheque

Not sure why people are acting like this cameraman stands to benefit from him being charged with municipal assault. He doesn't get one penny from that if he's convicted. That's not how that works at all. Good try though...

At some point he does get some kind of kick back cash...

My buddy got hit by a car and originally the lawyer said he would just get medical paid for. He got another lawyer and ended up with bills paid and 12k in his pocket.

Maybe it's different with a criminal charge

Shoving someone down is minor but it is still simple assault. It's also on camera lol.

He fucked up pretty bad and didn't help his case by bringing up how he did it because he walked in front of him. He should have been overly apologetic and took 100% of the blame. Charges still would have been filed because the dude is gonna get paid but he would have looked like less of a tool.

That's civil vs. criminal. Criminal is jail/prison/fines/probation. Technically the judge could order probation and assess restitution as a condition of probation, but they're pretty reluctant to do that in this jurisdiction on a misdemeanor assault. That would be a surprising result, especially since it could affect anything he could recover in a civil suit.

If he was chasing the money, he can (and very well may yet) file a civil suit alleging punitive damages, but so far, it looks like it's just criminal, and municipal at that. Criminal case will only go as far as he wants to pay. No municipal city attorney is going to be wanting to fight high dollar attorneys, go through depositions, and lengthy and tedious pretrial litigation over a municipal assault.

Shouldn't have pushed him, but this is nothing more than an easy cash grab.
