I just wish I would've started contact later in life. I think by starting at 6, I drastically increased my likelihood of head injury. I wound up with 3 concussions by the time I was done at age 18.
If my kid wants to play, definitely going to keep them playing touch/flag until highschool at the earliest.
yeah my biggest thing was like, I lost a lot of time (as a child) playing football rather than doing other kid stuff lol
but I played backyard with neighborhood kids from other towns. it was a rural area, so we just walked to the school field and played - solid 14 people daily
collision is my favorite, pulling as guard and smashing the lb running through the empty gap was icing on the cake
and special teams
i lived for that shit
never got a head injury, but my feet are all fucked up
