It said you can't in the main auction thread where all of the rules are listed. I didn't want people doing fake bids to drive up the price for other people, and then retract once it became clear that they might accidentally win the auction and be on the hook for the fg.

Ultimately you can do what you want, however. It just means you won't be able to participate from now on.
