I don't get how people are saying that Wentz isn't a blue chip talent. He has every trait of a franchise QB.

The Eagles would be really smart to start Bradford/Daniels for a year and then unleash Wentz.

wentz played shit opponents all year. I'm sorry but literally….he hasn't proven himself against any elite defenses.

and i hate to point out something that doesn't matter to most people… but please keep in mind none of us knew who this kid was til november/december…that should really tell you something

a 24 yr old who plays basically d2 college football shoots up draft boards at the end of the year because of good games against shit opponents….not buying it, name me one other college qb taken near the top of the draft with a similar story who was successful and ill eat crow, otherwise i stand firmly to my point that top tier talent at qb is recognized earlier in a career and not 4 months before the draft. (if you argue bortles i wouldn't be mad)

purely for reference, and anyone arguing Wentz is a "can't miss talent at qb" randys mocks are pretty on par with professional mocks
http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=73581850&f=204 here we see nothing of wentz
http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=73633878&f=204 now hes a can't miss talent….sorry, not buying it, scouts don't miss out on finding guys for 4 years and they suddenly become elite.

sure, he has the build of a roethlisberger/bortles qb with good arm strength, but his deep throw accuracy, even against the shit opponents he has played against, is very veryyyyy questionable. a 2nd round pick? maybe. third round? love it. #1/#2 overall? u gotta be joking

i do kinda like the idea of drc being a center fielder. he has a really good ability to read a qb.
but at the same time he is too good at cb to move him.

hey man, love reading your mocks but just as you were very wrong on browns taking qb #2 overall, your very wrong on browns taking rb #8

we learned a harsh, harsh lesson drafting richardson 3rd overall. crowell looked good toward the end of the year, and duke johnson has incredible upside and is only in his second season.

i understand you don't have time to look into all 32 teams needs realistically, but i will tell you it is extremely unrealistic to expect the browns to draft rb at 8 overall. you could be right in the browns trading down, but the pick will probably be miles Jack or Bosa if he falls

So you're hinging on 2 players being there at 8 who definitely should not be there at 8. What's your plan B when no one wants to trade?

The Browns have the best and most versatile rb in the league, like a Doug Martin 3.0

So what makes Wentz such a better prospect from Goff?

I know Wentz has much better physical tools and higher potential but Goff seems to be a better passer fundamentally and mentally so far especially in the pocket. Not to mention, he's like 3 years younger than Wentz as well.

Neither of them will be good in the NFL.

Wentz played inferior defenses compared to Goff.

If I were an Eagles fan. I'd keep Bradford and not even go after a QB as their second pick although is a guarantee. Take a Jack or Ramsey, it's not like Bradford is an awful QB. He is still relatively young even with shitty knees.

Defenses win championships.

Look at Denver and Seattle in recent years.
