The Jags were the 2nd youngest team in the league behind the Rams, and that was before Bortles started playing. We've only gotten younger since then.

Honestly at this point, if we can't trade down and stay with a high top 5 pick (barring Gregory or Ray are still on the board), our LEO position should be where we go. Andre Branch will be in his last year of his contract next season and Clemons will be 33 years old. There's going to be a need at the position in a year or two and they might just jump on it this draft.

There's no way a MLB would go top 10, so there's not really any point in even thinking about that.

I knew I heard the vikings were the second youngest STARTERS in the league somewhere but I couldn't find an updated list so you made me pull out my handy calculator and depth charts too make sure I wasn't high when I heard it. And depth charts on the site I used were updated because the vikings was updated with injured players not being on the starting line up. But anyways the Vikings combined Offense and Defensive starters average age is 25.83 while the Jaguars combined age is 26.59. Your offese was by far younger (24.25 to our 25.91) but your defense is extremely old, average age was 28.92 to our 25.75 so the vikings are younger according to the depth charts B)

But ya you guys need an upgrade for Clemons who is old as balls and Bryant is hitting 31 soon so idk your depth well at all but maybe a replacement for him eventually. (alualu has been a disappointment) just basing these picks of age right now before I really go into more analysis when the draft order is actually set so I am just speaking off my ass here you obviously know much more about the jags as I know only what the paper tells me

But ya I would say your best picks from doing small research would be the top three guys randy listed all filling big needs with Gregory or Shane being able to play DE or LB to replace clemons

I actually watched almost all of the ASU/Washington game and Marcus Peters impressed the fuck out of me.  If someone were to take him top 5 I would not fault them one bit.

Just a little food for thought for your needs.

And yes I would agree.  Jaguars and Raiders should try and move down.  I'll try and do a trade or two next week.  It just takes more time than I usually have to come up with a trade that makes sense for both sides.

Texans maybe move up for a QB to be ahead of the Bucs or something.

What site were/are you using? Clemons and Bryant are definitely bringing our combined age up, but Bryant is worth it. Poz is definitely bringing up our combined age as well, seeing as he is 30 right now. Alan Ball and Will Blackmon bring up our combined age average, but when the rest of our Secondary is 2nd year players and rookies, you got to have some Vets in the mix. I'm curious as to what the site you are using lists as our starting line up.

Alualu was a disappointment because he went top 10 and suffered a serious knee injury during his very first Oklahoma drill in practice his rookie year. He was never the same after the injury, but he is a very good rotation player and he can play anywhere along the line.

Same site for the jags, post the listed starting players not necessarily the most playing time like for example it lists the Vikings TE as Rhett Ellison but chase ford definitely has more playing time, but i just did average of the STARTERS which was what I said earlier :) But ya your offense is extremely young but that defense dragged ya down hahah

Grabbing another qb for the jets when there are WAY better positions. I definetly think itll be a CB/OL

What CB is worth a top 5 pick? Mike Vick is now the starter and there is little faith in geno as well as rex is probably out the door so geno will not have ties with the new HC so he is probably gone too. Also the jets have ferguson who is a beast and you don't draft RTs in the top 5, so I'll have to agree with randy who is both right and wrong, he is right the jets will most likely go QB he is wrong to have mariota at 4 B) I know he didn't put trades into this but mariota will go #1 to the highest bidder and if the jets lose I think they give Jameis a hardddd look

I looked at the stats, i thought I saw a CB worth, but I was wrong and QB is goingto be needed if geno cant produce anything by weak 11, we are a nonno. Personally I want winston cause he can handle shit talk from the media

It's fairly close, but there are differences.

Will Blackmon is out indefinitely after breaking an index finger.

Allen Robinson is the #1 WR on this team over Shorts. AR15 lines up as the Left WR the majority of the time. Shorts on the Right.

Marqise Lee would not start over Allen Hurns if we started in a 3 WR set.

Telvin Smith started over Geno Hayes and received far more snaps this Sunday (he had more snaps last week as well but didn't get the start). Smith had 40 snaps on Defense compared to Hayes' 19. Smith's snaps are only going to improve. Dude flat out has a nose for making plays. Hes got a long frame at 6'3, but he only weighs 219 pounds. Once he adds 10-15 more pounds, just picture a Lavonte David lite, but with more speed and coverage skills.

Chris Smith isn't a LDE in this scheme. He's a RDE (our LEO). The LDE in our scheme is the Big End. He's a 5 tech, set the edge, run first stopping End. Our RDE is a hybrid End. He's long and fast/quick. Not the biggest, ranges around 240-260 pounds, but mainly he needs to be quick and long. Long arms, plays with leverage and speed around the edge.

I'm very close to giving Marcus Peters a nod as a top 5 pick.

And yeah yeah, I'll fuck with some trades next week.

Edit: Hako, how's Marqise Lee doing? He even relevant?

Ya there is no blue chip CB this season so the value isn't there unless the jets trade back into the teens which I don't think will happen, as for geno producing by week 11 he has already been pulled from his starting roll so I honestly think his time has run dry. But I agree with you jameis should be able to handle controversy you just have to hope with him it doesn't get out of hand and become a Jamarcus russel type player that just doesn't give a shit when he hits it big which to me it kinda seems like that is his character but we will have to see how it plays out. Johnny media circus didn't effect his draft status that poorly if at all so I think the jets would be the team to roll the dice

Fineee Haha this is why I always wait until the end of the season to start my analysis when players really start catching steam hahah I see that he is being considered for all-American that's why I respect how you are great at keeping up with this stuff year round that takes a shitload of hard work
