So im starting scouting now that the season is over.

First was Bridgewater. So calm and poised.Great under pressure. Goes through his progressions, very decisive. Great pocket awareness for a college QB. Played in a pro system. Good, sneaky athleticism. Ball placement is ridiculous. Looks defenders off every damn play.

No way Manziel goes before him, no way. Teddy is a special prospect. Right below Luck for me and ahead of RG3

Don't underrate the fact that it's the Texans with the first pick. Manziel as a Texan would create incredible revenue.

I disagree STRONGLY on that praise of Teddy. If RGIII were in this draft (with the status he had coming out of college) he'd be light years ahead of everyone else. This strong draft class got kind of weak on us all of a sudden. There's a lot of talent, but nothing like Luck or what RGIII was supposed to be (or is, idk, I don't like RGIII now so yeah, however you want to word it lol).

As for drafting Manziel first, look at the line above the first pick, it was only because Ryan said he'd like it so I wanted to give it a shot. I don't think Manziel will go first. Wouldn't surprise me but it's Teddy or Clowney.

Lol that Baylor offense was all zone read. No reads, no pocket awareness. If your target on that play is covered tuck and run. He was an impressive athlete with nice arm talent. As a QUARTERBACK, Teddy is clearly the better prospect. Everything you need to be a great QB in the NFL, Teddy possesses.

Not likely I don't think. Especially with Bill O'Brien as a new coach.

Personally i don't think O'Brien of all people takes anyone other than Bridgewater. Him coaching him through his early years will be tremendous and i think he could have a great rookie year starting all 16 games.

Lol. If our owner cared about money, he would've gotten VY in 2006 and not Mario Williams.

Gary Kubiak had just taken over the head coaching job and felt like he could work with David Carr. We probably would have drafted Vince Young number one overall in that 2006 draft if Kubiak had known Carr was going to be so bad. We sort of sacrificed that 2006 season with David Carr starting at quarterback.

We ended up trading two second-round picks and swapping first-round picks with Atlanta for Matt Schaub in the following off-season. At least right now we definitely know we need a quarterback. Matt Schaub has nothing left after giving us seven seasons and Bill O'Brien isn't going to want to work with him. At least one would think.

The 2006 NFL Draft is still to this day the best draft the Houston Texans ever had as a franchise.
Just a shame we no longer have a couple of All Pros like Mario Williams and DeMeco Ryans.
