we can compare matt ryan to eli... why not?

elite receiving core..

sucky o-line especially on the right side...

a defensive minded coach who brought steven jackson in to try to run the ball... we here in atlanta.. call it smitty ball.

Eli still barely throws more tds than pics with a good o-line. Doesn't make much sense to call him a top 5 QB or anywhere near.

Eli shows up for 1-2 quarters a game, most elite QBS play all 4.

The Giants have had a statistically higher ranked o-line since the saints line has been good(only one year I think, not 100% positive though). Eli still failed to outperform Brees or even come close, I believe Eli's Qb rating with a top 3 o-line was around 85. Yeah he must be top 5 material.

I'd rather not argue with a guy that is one of the most ignorant posters on this forum though. I really mean no disrespect but I'm calling a spade a spade.

Go look it up.... 2010 season lol. NYG higher ranked o-line and Eli still does worse. Blame the receivers or the coaching staff again, I always love those excuses.

You blame everything around Eli and refuse to believe it has anything to do with him being a mediocre-goodish QB. He's not bad, he's just nothing special man.

You need to come to terms with this.

Just like how you feel that someone blocking a punt due to a missed block makes them a potential hall of fame contender. It's pure nonsense man

although i agree eli isnt a top 5 qb nor "elite", he is still a lot better than mediocre. 2 superbowl wins against the best offense/QB on the planet is still impressive. Have to give the D tons of credit but still impressive on Eli's part.

I just think he's inconsistent. His TD/Turnover rate is pretty terrible and he really hasn't shown me personally enough consistency to be considered a good-great QB. I think at times he plays great and at times he kills his team.


Not sure who's to blame for his turnover rate, you'd probably have to ask noz for his list on that one. I'm sure that the fault lies once again with everyone other than Eli.

Matt Ryan has the biggest security blanket outside of Calvin Johnson.

Eli also has a lot more talent than Matt Ryan.


Matt Ryan is still a really good QB.
