Really solid on defense but the offense was a bit shaky.  Still, a win is a win.

Defense wasn't even that good... at least passingwise. They gave up 300 yards to Carson Palmer relatively easily. Their only good D was their run D.

Shitty long snaps is by far the main reason they had such an easy win - and that had nothing at all to do with the defense :\

Palmer had 297 yards passing on 46 attempts...that's a 6.4 ypa which is pretty awful. In addition, he got 73 yards passing (junk) on the final drive when the Bolts were playing prevent. That's pretty solid if you ask me.

Solid performance against a crappy team.

I was uncomfortable at the game though...it was really fucking hot...and I was in the shade too.

Pretty emotional ceremony for #55

Next week we're retiring #21...and we get to test our defense against Melting Ice.

I feel like I'm the only Charger fan on this forum :-/

Anyway, they are retiring the real LT's number (the imposter is a pedophile) at the game. These past weeks have been really rough on fans my age...we grew up watching Junior Seau and Tomlinson. 2 of my favorite athletes of all time.

That's rough man, I'm glad Rivers has been doing alright despite team injuries. I hope Gates is back in time for the Monday night game. Atlanta is really overhyped being 2-0 with ridiculous offensive power but I think they might have a tougher time of it in SD. I know LT was only on the Jets for a couple years but he was the most talented back they've had in a long time and they totally misused him the last year and a half. Greene isn't half as good without LT there (and LT should have been the feature back, they just figured Greene could be okay since LT got hurt in the playoffs and Greene did a good job in his place that one year).

It's really too bad there aren't any real Charger fans here except you and like...Odds or Trust100Percent.

My mom noticed that Rivers skips the wine and only takes the bread in the mouth

It's not the only thing he takes in the mouth. Just kidding, he's been good for my one fantasy team. So has Kaeding, actually. And I have Floyd on another. So. Yay.

Awful awful awful. I don't think there was anything good about the Chargers except for the rush defense.

I fucking KNEW they were going to hit us hard with the 5-15 yard passes. Gonzo had a monster day and by the time we even got to Ryan, the ball was gone. Our linebackers need to be more aggressive.

Also, I thought the Chargers had a chance prior to the Matthew fumble on the 3. We had some momentum and a couple stops against the Falcons then. That fumble+the officiating killed all momentum though and it was downhill from there.

Kudos to the Falcons for having an efficient offense and an opportunistic defense. The guy who picked off Rivers twice...those were great interceptions...very Polamalu-esque.
