Firing McDermott hurts possibly more than this playoff loss that was given to the broncos so the pats can steamroll them into another bowl. I know a lot of ppl wanted Sean gone, not me, his coaching isn't why we continue to lose....other than that 13 seconds game. I just don't see anyone better we'd be getting. Daboll coming back maybe, but thats hardly an upgrade.
He was a good but not great coach. I also think they should of kept him.
The good = good leader, got strong buy in from the players, got decent production out of nobodies
The bad = for a defensive minded head coach to be this bad on defense year after year (especially the run) not acceptable, some poor decision making in critical moments in playoffs
The GM in my opinion is more of a problem. Unacceptable the receiver room was so thin. Some absolutely horrendous contracts that killed the cap.
There's a lot of teams IMO that should call McDermott.
