i just think they've probably invested so much in bringing in rodgers at this point that they can't abandon their plan. don't think they went into fa thinking lamar would even be available. to consider lamar would required quite a pivot from their current course of action

either way we all know there's a lot more going on league wide behind the scenes regarding the lamar jackson situation than is being made public

Big thing it sounds like is jets don’t want to give up a first round pick for rodgers so makes sense that’s their direction (although personally I’d rather take lamar)

Anything you give up for Rodgers may just be a one year rental, I don’t get it with a young team.

If he was white his high school and college coaches would have helped him develop the skill sets needed to command the price he wants.

Here is the thing. He’s talented. But he is now injury prone. If we take away his legs (which are absolutely gone in 3 years) he is a mid grade starter at best. In fact his decision making is definitely questionable if you take away his option to run.
