Finally got around to buying one of those Smart tvs, which has the YouTube app on it and I saw that they have a lot of older games uploaded, including this gem from 1979, Buccaneers fall just short of the Super Bowl against the Steelers in Pasadena. It's a God damn shame they lost because that Steelers-Buccaneers uniform combination in the Rose Bowl would be about as beautiful a matchup the NFL could produce. That defense was awesome and the pregame for this was really enlightening as far as how much our culture can change in such a short amount of time. Obviously advantages and disadvantages to ours versus theirs, at least as we perceive it, particularly the difference in broadcast quality and information presented on the screen -- they don't have score, time, timeouts, etc. listed all the time, kind of cool because it feels like at times too much is going on and my OCD is triggered hard lol.
To address the current team however, the top priorities ought to be to retain Mike Evans and David. Both of those dudes deserve the team's respect more than the other free agents -- Baker included -- and should be taken care of. It helps that they want to stay there and I feel like resigning David is simple because he should get a reasonable offer as long as he remains effective on the field and can hack it. Evans is trickier, understandably, especially with the amount of young talent they have at receiver and having Godwin still to take over the #1. Evans has a shot to be one of the best receivers the game has seen and the franchise should prioritize having all of it played in Tampa. If they let him go I'll be pissed but that day will come eventually.
I do hope we resign David and evans.
It looks like we release shaq.
