Jerry Reese says Nassib was rated higher than Barkley on their board. Value too much to pass. Says Nassib reminds him of Andy Dalton

Giants Fifth-Round Pick: S Cooper Taylor

6'5 235 safety

Quote
Taylor has massive size for the safety position being 6'5" 228. He ran an impressive 4.55 40 considering the fact that he has almost 30 pounds on the average defensive back.

However, Taylor has been diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome because of his fast heartbeat, which caused him to miss significant time at Georgia Tech and eventually led to his transfer. NFL teams will certainly do their due-diligence and give him a thorough medical evaluation before investing in Taylor on draft day.

Cooper Taylor - Safety will be Giant linebacker

Just as the Giants did years ago with Brad Van Pelt, who was a safety in college - so was Brian Urlacher for the bears - this guy will play linebacker, not safety.

Why? We did the same with Van Pelt(was a great LB) and Urlacher as well. It's an easy transition.

Giants Seventh-Round Pick: OG Eric Herman

Ohio U

6'4", 320. Played guard.

Very big and very strong. 36 reps at the combine

Quote
During one play in the Bobcats’ bowl win last December, Herman slipped and fell to one knee as he burst off the line on a running play at Louisiana-Monroe’s 2-yard line. The misstep should have come with a white flag, considering the 300-pound defensive tackle opposite him.

“Only [Herman] got up on his knees to pick the guy up and drive him to the back of the end zone,” Bobcats offensive line coach Keven Lightner said. “You just don’t see that.”

Nor do you see what Lightner did as he watched game film the morning after Ohio’s game at Central Michigan in 2011 — a 43-28 win in which OU out-rushed the Chippewas 309-65.

“I just felt sorry for the three-technique playing against him,” Lightner said. “He was physically lifting the guy up off the ground. It was like, ‘Good Lord.’ ”
