This subpar scoring game could close the gap between Brady and the other MVP candidates. Brady only has 1 fewer int that Dalton now (though Dalton hasn't played yet this week).

At the end of the season, no one is going to care that Brady didn't deserve 1 int and today's game is just going to look like a 1-point win, not the heroic effort it really was.

just finished watching the game boys! holy smokes... what a game man, what a game.
when slater went down (but thankfully returned), then Edelman, I was about to cry. as you guys already said our injuries are ridiculous.
I was very impressed with butler, seemed to recover from the initial obj catch, although McCourty blew it too, and played a solid game for obj. but his flexed out ape walk after every play he makes is too much  good for him though
gotskowski aka clutchmaster flex with a game winner, crazy how we go from goat to goat for kickers

I wouldn't say I loved it lol. That's the most stressed I've felt watching football since the SB.

I'm just glad we finally beat those fucks. Coughlin has BB's number, he's the only coach who can consistently go head to head and make us under-perform while his team over-performs. Either way, NY can be an impressive unit at times, and I'm legitimately worried that we could face them again in SB 50.

First we lose Lewis, and now Edelman. I'm worried about our offense, Amendola is going to need to step up in a big way. I don't think LaFell or Dobson are capable of filling his shoes. Our run game should be fine, especially once we start incorporating White a little more.

Either way, we can't take many more hits, we're losing too many offensive weapons. We're one Gronk injury away from being completely desolated on that side of the ball, and our corners don't know how to turn the fuck around and at least play off PI like even mediocre corners.

I was embarrassed with how poorly our secondary played. There was at least 2 more blatant PI plays that we got away with. The one bright spot out of the whole thing was further affirming that Butler could potentially be the real deal. Time will tell whether he continues to improve or if he hits a serious slouch in the next year or two. Either way, I was impressed with his play on of the best the NFL has to offer.

GG NE and let the undefeated season continue. Denver was the only game I was really worried about, and they seem to be imploding. It's entirely possible we go undefeated. Bills, Jets, and Denver, I think those are the only teams who even have a shot at beating us.

I wouldn't call it an Island yet, but I do love your optimism. NE's always been terrific and developing underestimated and forgotten players, and Butler is no exception. He had a couple of costly mistakes, but he is the one bright light in the abyss that is our secondary lol. Someone needs to drill into these fuckers heads that they NEED to turn the fuck around. I don't know how they expect not to be flagged for the shit they were doing. Butler attacked the ball like a savage and he saved the fucking game for us with that stop on OBJ.

Our defense is going to need to improve drastically and quick. With Edelman now gone, Brady is going to have more and more trouble getting the ball to some of our less talented receivers. We saw it today, instead of attacking the ball or even being aware of his surroundings, LaFell lets the ball get picked and almost ends up costing us the game. Yes, it wasn't a great throw, but still, you attack the fucking ball and at least break it the fuck up, you do not under any circumstance let your QB get picked in that situation. Edelman or Gronk wouldn't have let that shit happen.

Amendola was a monster last season once playoffs rolled around. I'm hoping he can step up for the remainder of the season and do it again, Brady is going to need some help with 2 out of 3 of his biggest weapons being taken away in 2 weeks.

Those plays tonight were the same ones that Brown torched him with week 1.
Looks like hes improving his game. Hell of a percormance tonight.
Logan Ryan is decent. Not the best in coverage, but hes great with his hands. Just need Coleman to do a little better. Brown went down early but he really wasnt any better. No idea who our new guy is.

Missing Collins is killer in the coverage aspect. It was nice to see Mayo taking snaps away from Freeny. Thank fucking god. I hope we see a lot more of him. Would love to see some Hightower - Mayo - Collins on the field.

Amendola is so fucking clutch. Hes gonna dominate now that Edelman is down.
However, Edelman is that guy that Brady quick passes to the most, and with massive injuries to our line + Lewis, the offense could look really ugly.

Hahah. Like I said, he was the one bright light defensively for us and he saved the game by keeping Jr in check. OBJ still had a fucking big game thanks to that first catch, but that's really all he fucking did all game. I think this is the longest stretch we've seen Gronk healthy for, I'm just worried that if he goes down, the entire team goes down. We're not good enough defensively to win games if our offense takes anymore hits. Brady can work wonders with players of average talent, but he does get frustrated when people constantly drop the fucking ball, which has always been a problem for Dobson and LaFell. I'd like to see them work Tyms or Slater into the mix a bit more. I think they could make a bigger impact if they could get some reps in with Brady.
