So what's to stop someone active from welching somebody who actually cares about fg?
For example, someone active comes back from a 2year hiatus and posts bills -8 AC active/trusted everyone else upfront 10-15 min before game and goes AFK. (Going spread is bills -3)
Someone "unknown" comes in an only has 150. Knows he can't send to med as a bet would not be made. So he must upfront to someone who hasn't been around for 2years.
Let's say the active guy is online and wants unknown to send upfront or no bet etc. game starts in 5min and med hasn't responded in time so he sends upfront to active.
These situations are real and should be eliminated before they actually happen. I'm sure the tag won't hurt their egos as much if they don't even bet.
some really awful hypotheticals used here. you're taking the system too seriously tbh.
people who are active enough on this site know who to bet with because of a rapport we develop over the course of the season. i only bet with people i know and trust. a tag doesn't change anything for me personally. the only situation that comes close to your insane analogy would be Prone. and i don't think we're all stupid enough to fall for a -8 bills line..

Then why exploit the system of rankings with someone who is not active have a fg that says they are active?
It's just stupid and opens room for exploration of new bettors.
*no need to get personal with this lol... I don't care if you know me or not. Just posting that the awarding of statuses needs to have an equal demerit ceremony to have value to the tags.
what are you getting at? how is that exploiting the system?
i didn't mean to make it personal, but seeing as i don't recall seeing you post up until this offseason, i am unsure as to why this bothers you so much
