Second week in a row our stale ass offense cost us a game. The defense has improved exponentially from last year and so far seem like they might actually remain healthy. Of course, last year they looked solid to start and went into a freefall after week 4 or 5.

I saw they carted Clayborn off the field, God I hope he's alright.

EDIT, from ESPN:

Buccaneers DE Adrian Clayborn left with a knee injury. Schiano said he would have tests Monday. .. Cowboys S Barry Church ruptured his Achilles tendon and will have season-ending surgery Monday.

Crossing my fingers on this one. Sucks to hear about Dallas' safety, too.

Clayborn was seen wearing a knee brace following Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, and many inside the locker room suggested that the injury is season-ending, the Tampa Bay Times reports. (Sun Sep 23)

Statistically he hasn't done that well this year but I like him a lot.

I saw you dudes lost a safety...weak.

Defensive slugfest or what o.O

Thought Romo died in the samidge hit, Offense looked shockingly bad. Am no longer sure what to make of the kneel down plays, tbh that final one looked brutal shoving their center backwards.

D - 8/10, really happy with the performance as a whole
O - 3/10, No run game, no pass game, no scrambling QB.

Couple of updates that sadden me as a Bucs fan

Report: Adrian Clayborn Knee Injury Is Serious

Adrian Clayborn getting carted off the field late in the second half in Dallas was a sad sight today, but now it seems that the injury is indeed serious.

Tampa Bay Times beat writer Stephen Holder says there’s a grim look to Clayborn’s injury in the Bucs locker room and Clayborn’s teammates believe he might be done for the season.

An emotional Adrian Clayborn left the locker room here at Cowboys Stadium wearing a brace from the thigh to ankle on his right leg, and early indications are that his injury is quite serious, with several players suggesting it is season-ending.

This is a brutal blow to the Bucs’ thin defensive line.

Daniel Te’o-Nesheim replaced Clayborn, and another backup, George Johnson, was inactive for today’s game.

This will be a problematic issue for the Bucs, if Clayborn is indeed lost for the season. You don’t just pick up a high-motor, solid end off the street. Though it might be time to dial up Andre Carter.

Some news that makes me happy as a Bucs fan!

“I Have Four Weeks To Go,” Says Da’Quan Bowers
September 24th, 2012

As the Buccaneers and their emerging defensive line mourn the apparent season-ending knee injury to Adrian Clayborn, one must wonder how DaQuan Bowers’ recovery from an Achilles tear is going.

Thankfully, Bowers was in the locker room today and provided an update.

Bowers said he feels good, that his greatest challenges are mental and not physical, and he has “four weeks to go” and would be ready to play then if coaches give him the go-ahead.

Joe admires Bowers’ spirit and determination, but Joe doesn’t see the value in rushing back Bowers even if he’s cleared by doctors to get off the physically unable to perform list and start practicing. Maybe it would make sense if the Bucs were in some sort of legitimate playoff chase. Maybe.

Let Bowers really heal fully and come back hungry and healthy next season.

Lotsa people on the twatter and fagbook world are saying Bench Freeman, Sack Sully , bring back Blount. Valid points - but Orlovsky instead? Who to replace Sully? Martin cuts harder faster and stronger than Blount can dream of doing..

This is true, but the variable I'd compare Blount with is explosiveness. I'm sure Martin could knock over a Cb or safety, but obviously wouldn't. Blount can run over LB's. And when Martin would do a fancy move going laterally, Blount would power forward. I just don't like guys who run sideways all the time. If anything, I'd like to see them beef up Blount, and move him to FB. Then we'd have a familiar Alstott&Dunn combo. And you could have both backs of high caliber on the field at once. Would turn heads, n blow minds.

Idk, perhaps not seeing the games each week makes it harder for me to judge these things. Just how I'm reading the news.
