i hate the pats and the way they've handled business in the past
but i gotta say, it's amazing how the organization continues to dominate with players i've never heard of
seems like every year they turn a handful of no-namers into legit role players and win win win
it's unreal
how much of that is bill?
It's the system really.
Like, Bill recognizes talent where talent is.
He won't try and incorporate a player who did well in another scheme into his scheme.
He will utilize that players strength and work our scheme around it.
Now that's the entire coaching staff, and the players around it too.
Take Dion Lewis who had like 160 yards from scrimmage his entire career before coming to NE, then blowing up like he did (prior to his ACL injury).
Julian Edelman, a Kent State QB turned extremely productive and reliable WR.
Lafell who looked like he was seeing his last 'productive' years in Carolina turned into a great deep threat, and he was 47 yards away from a 1k season last year.
The system works once th eplayers buy into it. When we run with Blount, we run 6 offensive lineman (whether one of those is Gronk blocking or not, we have 6 men on the line) and pound it down their throat.
When were 3rd and long, we normally run a 3 WR 2 TE set, with excellent routes and sometimes we utilize the pick.
