Honestly in AFC scariest opponent to me are Steelers and how late they bloom - and how well they do it.
They missed last year's playoffs by 1 game and could have been a force to be reckoned with considering how good their offense was doing.
I think the Packers are hella over-hyped. They haven't been remotely challenged this year, and their defense can be carved up so easily by any over-decent qb.
In order of threats imo:
AFC: Steelers, Jets, Denver
NFC: Arizona, Packers, Vikings - I wouldn't sleep on this years Viks team, they're 4-2 with a fairly tough schedule ahead of them, and if they can pull of the wins against some of those teams then they could very easily be in contention.
I wouldn't be surprised if they sweep GB this year.
Really, Minnesota? That's a pretty crazy pick. I just don't think Bridgewater has it in him to make a deep run. He still makes too many mistakes for me to be intimidated. The kid definitely has potential, and they could be real contenders if they keep building up his supporting cast over the next year or two. Something that's going to hurt them in tight games is Peterson. He's looked hesitant in the backfield, he's having trouble breaking tackles, and he just don't seem to have that fuck shit up explosiveness that he's known for. I'm still hoping he'll bounce back, but they're going to have a real tough time moving the ball if that continues.
Do you think GB will still be overrated if they beat out Denver and Carolina back to back? I agree that Arizona is one of the scariest teams in the NFC, I'm just not sold that they have the stamina to make it through the season. If Palmer goes down again, the team goes down with him. You can't deny how dominate Rodgers is at Lambeau, and I fully believe they'll clench that #1 spot. If AZ stays healthy, I think they've got the best shot at beating GB in GB. We'll get to see how GB does @ AZ later this year, and that'll be another good test for what I believe is a pretty fucking strong GB team. That's one of the main reasons they worry me so much, they've got a couple of really tough games, while NE's toughest games are against divisional opponents who have improved but they're still people we've dominated and humiliated for 15 fucking years now.
I think Pitt could be formidable, but I don't think they can beat NE in NE. We both have high-powered offenses, they've got the edge on the run game, we've got the edge in the passing game, but even our defense is better than Pitt and it's pretty fucking hard to beat Brady in a shoot-out lol, not many people manage to pull that off.
I'm curious to see if the Jets plummet once Geno the joke comes back. If he's terrible and they're too stupid to bench him, then they deserve to miss the playoffs. Denver is a tough one. If the offense could pull their shit together, they'd easily be the best team in the NFL this year. That defense is no joke, and as always, Peyton is stacked with an offense that even Ryan Mallett could find success with lol.
Side note - What happened to your fg this time lol?
I'm off to bed though, it's now 3:09 and I really need to get some sleep.
