That entire draft that year was pretty bad so far. And not just looking at it from the Jags' draft, I mean the entire league. That year was just a really weak draft from top to bottom. Caldwell may have snagged a couple gems late in Denard Robinson and Demetrius McCray, but Joeckel, Cyp and Gratz all need to step it up this year. Especially Joeckel and Cyp.

Ace Sanders has already been cut from that class.

Josh Evans has played a lot of football for us as a 6th round pick from that draft, but he's nothing more then average at best. Our 5th, 6th and 7th round picks have been the best from that class so far. Jeremy Harris was the other 7th round pick with McCray, but he has barely touched the playing field.

Yes that is true that whole draft class wasnt that great at the slightest, but for a top first round pick you have to expect and demand more.

We had a decent draft this year. But last years draft pick were amazing imo. Bortles, lee, robinson, colvin, smith and then they picked up hurns undrafted. Couldnt of been happier

Most definitely, I completely agree. Joeckel was a very high first round pick and Cyp was a very high 2nd round pick. They need to step it up this year, big time.

Last year's draft could go down as possibly the best draft we've ever had as a franchise. You forgot 3rd round pick Brandon Linder as well, who is our best O-linemen and 6th round pick Luke Bowanko, who could be our long term starting Center. It's still early for them (I like to give players 3 years before you can really judge them), but all the signs are showing of that draft class being great.

Cyp broke a bone in his finger, in the game friday night. He's going to miss the rest of the preseason, but they're hopeful he'll be good to go for week 1 of the regular season. He will be imo.

Julius Thomas broke a bone in the back of his hand on the 2nd play in friday night's game. I'm sure you knew that already though. He'll be just fine for week 1.

They didn't know Cyp was hurt until he was already showered and dressed after the game. I guess he had a trainer check his hand out after he mentioned some pain/soreness, or something along those lines.

Thomas' injury could have been so much worse. Bitch ass William Gay took a cheap shot at his knees. Like Thomas himself said though, he'd much rather break his hand, over having a knee injury.

Yeah that was a pretty dirty shot. Thought there were rules to protect players agaisnt hits llike that? A knee injury can easily be career ending

It's just something we have to live with now since you can't get anywhere close to the shoulders/head anymore. Those will be automatic flags++, where as the leg shots are all but fair game. It's stupid, but the players have to go by what the rules say, even if they're stupid. Go high and it's a penalty and a for sure fine. Go low and maybe you get a flag. Key word being maybe.

You know there's guys that decide to tear somebodys ACL over getting fined and flagged and lose the game, and I don't blame them. The rules are set up to end guys careers, but on the other hand you don't want your brains mashed by the time you retire...
