I was talking about last season. But just looked that game up and looks like Bridgewater led a huge the team to a huge upset in that one (#3, one loss Florida). Maybe he's better than I thought!

But still, you want to talk about great games, look at Manziel against Alabama in either of those 2 games he played them. Or in his last 2 bowl game performances against OU and Duke.

Manziel went against the best and played well. But he's also played some shitty teams. In 2012 he played 2 FCS teams (Sam Houston St and South Carolina St), Louisiana Tech, and SMU. Last year he played against SMSU, Rice, UTEP, and SMU. They aren't exactly world beaters. Let's not forget that he got shut down by LSU twice.

Bridgewater played some really weak teams as well, but he still beat great teams and played great, even in losses. Point is, they both played some great teams and they both played some shitty teams. Bridgewater's offense is a pro style offense, so they aren't really set up for destroying teams or putting up 50 points every week, which is why he has a lot of conservative passes.

Just looked up rankings, and Texas A&M played the 26th hardest schedule and Louisville played the 103rd hardest schedule. There's a big disparity there. Yeah, Manziel played some bad teams too, but his conference play was in the SEC. Before this championship game, that Conference had won 7 straight championships. And this year, over 1/3 of early draft entries are from the SEC. Obviously, and it goes without saying, the SEC is a really, really good conference.

Point is, Manziel put up better numbers against tougher opponents. In college, numbers don't mean everything but I think that they do indicate some things. Just watching both of these QB's in games, it looks like Manziel is more talented and had a larger influence on the outcome of the game. A&M's defense couldn't stop a nose bleed last season, and Manziel kept them in a lot of games that didn't belong in and willed his team to victories. With Bridgewater, he's good, solid, makes smart decisions, but I don't think he influenced the outcome of the game as much Manziel did - but few players can.

Ryan, what do you think? Who should we take?

Yeah, but there was quite a consensus that Tebow wasn't an NFL QB. His mechanics have always been way off. It's not like Manziel was running the college option that Tebow ran half the time.

I'm still torn between Teddy Bridgewater, Jadeveon Clowney and Johnny Manziel if we keep the first overall pick.
The better choice would be to trade down and collect multiple picks while still landing a good player in the top 5

We need to do whatever it takes to trade with the Browns for picks 4 and 26 in round one, along with whatever else.
We can still end up with Jadeveon Clowney at 4 or perhaps Anthony Barr, who may be a better fit for our new defense.

With pick 26 late in round one we can still land the best quarterback available or even pick up a much needed right tackle.
And we'd still pick again at 33 overall (1st pick in round two). Those three picks could land us instant starters which is huge.

We can essentially draft numerous starters if we play our cards right. For a 2-14 team that's more important than just one pick.
Having three picks in the top 33 (4, 26 and 33) appeals to me a lot more than just having the first overall pick for some reason.
Along with that, I'd also try to make the Browns include a future first or second round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. More future assets.

This is a quarterback I really want as well. We can snag him easily at pick 26 or 33. He could turn out to be the best in this draft class.

I want to see how he measures up at the combine but I was very impressed with his performance in the East-West shrine game.

This is the best quarterback we can possibly end up with if we don't select one of the so-called top three: Bridgewater, Manziel, Bortles.
I don't really like Derek Carr all that much. He's not going to be much better in the pros than his older brother. He's good but not great.
Jimmy Garoppolo has something special about him. Just has that cool and calm presence in the pocket. This kid is special. Don't sleep on him.
