I agree ben is top 10, but just because your offense is so much better this year than last year doesnt necessarily mean ben should seriously considered in the mvp race. If you guys didn't have the worst backup qbs in the league, you may not have missed the playoffs and had a closer to average offense last season.

The fact you guys weren't a dumpster fire last year is a testament to your coaching and incredible defense.

Otherwise whoever the bears or jets get at qb next year will have a leg up on mvp simply because they're replacing ineptitude at the qb position.

Yeah that’s a valid point. watching the back ups last year made me sick to my stomach haha.

I think tho say for sake of argument if bears/jets get a new qb and this time next year they are sitting at 9-0 being led by that new qb, that player is going to be highly considered mvp candidate vs how Ben is not rn.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying he has a leg up on those other guys I just feel he doesn’t get enough appreciation because he’s not putting up astronomical numbers but he is proving is value to the overall team success.

Sorry I thought I replied lol. I coincidentally saw a stat line where it was like when Alualu is on the field the opposing teams avg ypc is like 1 and when he’s off it’s 4 something. Pretty crazy!

I think Edmonds has developed nicely and improved his game since last season. He used to catch a lot of heat on social media and such about him getting burnt in coverage or leaving guys open. Now it seems quiet and I can’t recall this season where he’s really gotten torched. Thoughts on him?

Ben doesn’t have the pretty stat line like Mahomes/Rogers/Wilson but last year I think the Steelers were almost dead last in like every offensive stat line. (Yards per game, red zone scoring etc) now with Ben back they are averaging over 30 points a game and the only undefeated team left. I think when you’re talking about MVP and who you think who is adding the most value to their team Ben is getting often overlooked cuz again he doesn’t have the crazy numbers, I’m probably bias tho too lol

If you take mvp for its literal definition for most valuable player to a team yea he could be in consideration. But that's not whats actually gauged lol

Edmunds isn't amazing but he isn't killing the team. He went from being one of the worst safeties to being a middle of the pack safety. He will never be Minkah caliber but so far he isn't bad enough to warrant being benched.

Also, Ben statistically is having an amazing season. 22 TDs 4 INTs through 9 games is nothing to scoff at.

So far this season TJ Watt has more QB hits than Mack and Garrett combined. Yet idiots are acting like Myles is better because he has 0.5 more sacks lol.

Last two seasons TJ has graded better via PFF. He has hit the QB 28 times this season vs Myles 14....

Yeah bruh so much better
