Thoughts?

I like this move, as we need to see him stay healthy this year before offering a big contract. We also have some younger talent that can hopefully stay healthy. I am glad we didn't sign him to a long term deal.

When your team is in the type of position the Bears are in, it's only worthwhile to keep around vets like that if they can teach the younger players on the roster. Bears aren't winning any games for the next few seasons so you guys should already be in rebuilding mode, which means you take on old vets who can teach your top prospects how to play, and you focus on building OL/DL/LB. Then you just keep trying to find a QB. That's how you create a successful franchise at the NFL level.

Smart deal. He needs to prove it this year. And if by some crazy chance a deal gets made wth another team we get 2 first round picks. Solid as fuck.

I dunno, I feel like this is another rebuild year, and we may be trying to contend in the next 2 years or so. I hope I'm wrong.
