Looking at NFL scouts mock draft, for guys picked a DT (Which is possible for picket replacement soon), then a CB, (Manti Teo) MLB, then a C... Zzzz Obviously guys are struggling with picks, because we do not need a corner and not a Center in the first round.

Can't see any way we take a corner in the early rounds, if at all, but you know if value is right, TT will take a center early. DL is definitely the biggest need imo. Maybe an OLB since a lot of scouts did not like what they saw from Perry in the limited time he played. I'm still optimistic about him, but he's got a lot of work to do.

I have read and heard multiple people talk about how deep this draft is on the DL. I think Kiper has 16 of his top 32 going from the DL. I believe it was Mayock who said something along the lines of, being able to get good quality guys in the 3rd, maybe even 4th round at DT this year. I personally don't know much about the interior DL guys in this draft, simply because it's not a glaring need for us. So I've spent my time looking elsewhere.

Corner is fairly deep this year as well. There's a handful of very good CBs early, but the back end is fairly solid. I don't really see you guys going after a CB early either, unless somebody simply falls and it's way too hard to pass up. You guys could easily get a mid-late round CB for depth and to develop if really wanted.

TT will draft based on need first but he has no fear for pulling the trigger and taking the best on the board either. after the sadness of the last month, i look forward to a strong draft and fresh faces to help get over the losses of DD and Chuck so far. Albeit not the strongest at their respective positions anymore, the mark they left on the franchise will never be forgotten.

Red an interesting article on cap space saved with the departure of Charles, Saturday. Makes mention of getting rid of Hawk and his cap hit.
What you think about getting rid of him? Would have upto 25 mil with his departure.

I don't see the point unless they're planning a big move in FA. Not sure any of the other guys on the roster fill in well there. I'd like to give Manning another season before he tries to become the starter. As I've stated in the past though, I really like the combo of Hawk and Bishop inside, and I think Hawk is unfairly criticized by the fans and certain media members due to expecting too much from him. He does what Capers is asking him to.

Shitty in coverage.

How about a Smith/Bishiop tandem inside instead

LBs in coverage is not this team's strong point. Smith is probably a better player than Hawk, but the chemistry they had inside worked really well. We're seeing the hate for AJ pop up again because he was exposed without Desmond on the field this year. For whatever reason, Capers basically wants Hawk to be a coach on the field. He's said before that Hawk's job is to get other guys in position to make plays, not to make the plays himself. I can absolutely understand the dislike for him given his performance, especially with the amount of money he makes, I just don't think the answer is in FA, and if they're not going to spend that money on a FA elsewhere, why bother cutting him?

Though to be honest, as long as they do not resign Walden, I could care less what decisions they make at LB. Perry/Matthews/Bishop should be a strong enough unit to make up for whoever ends up being the other ILB.

All $$$$ savings gonna go towards BJ, Clay and AR thats where they are looking. OFC they need to re sign Shields.
Would have liked to have Burnett and Peprah though....kind of wish we didn't let him go.
