Bad calls happen constantly. Seattle got away with 2 blatant hold calls that forced STL to go for it on 4th down. The last few minutes would have been very different had that been called. Bottom line is that Seattle didn't deserve to win, Wilson was the only one who showed up for the game. The fumble was an awful call and Seattle should of had another chance to finish up the game but shit happens.
You need to have clear possession of the ball for it to be ruled down. He did not have clear possession, it was a bad call.
I was never arguing if the call was bad, just what was actually called and the rule he points to, which were both incorrect:

They gave the recovery to Hankey, When he dove on it he had possession and was down. They didn't say it wasn't a fumble.
This was not the call on the field.

as soon as he's holding the ball in a cradle, and an elbow or knee is down... the ball is dead... that's just how football works.... even if its only for .0000000005 seconds
This is not the correct interpretation of the rule.
