Here is the updated draft order with the opponent winning percentage included: Lowest one owns the tiebreaker. Having the easiest schedule helps you when it comes to draft positioning. Atlanta just moved percentage points ahead of Houston in that regard because we played the 9-3 Patriots and they played the 4-8 Bills this past weekend.

http://www.gbnreport.com/weeklydraftorder.html

1. Houston 2-10 (.552)
2. Jacksonville 3-9 (.505)
3. St. Louis (from Washington) (3-9 .516)
4. Atlanta 3-9 (.549)
5. Tampa Bay 3-9 (.578)
6. Minnesota 3-8-1 (.531)

The Texans four games remaining (3 road, 1 home): at Jaguars, at Colts, Broncos, at Titans

Thursday Night's game between the Texans and Jaguars will likely be the battle for the first overall pick, aka Toilet Bowl as some have suggested. Three of our four games left are against good teams so we're not likely to own any tiebreakers based on strength of schedule. Maybe with Tampa Bay but even that's iffy at best.

The only way for the Texans to secure the top pick in the 2014 NFL Draft is to lose all four games left.

Yes. I'm not even a fan of Bridgewater. He looked average against the Houston Cougars in a game I watched a few weeks ago.

From what little I've seen of him, Bridgewater has looked good, but not flawless--and that was in a weaker division, I'd be a little skeptical too.

Either way, you can rest assured you'll fill a big need drafting in the top 3.

Agreed, if he lands on an instant contender like the Jags, he'll quickly surpass the recent accomplishments of reigning super bowl mvp Joe Flacco.

draino really wants Teddy Bridgewater and I really want Jadeveon Clowney. As long as we lose these last four games the option to select either of them will still exist. If we win a game or two, or even trade down, guys like Anthony Barr and Jake Matthews become attractive options as well. Also C.J. Mosley is a guy who I believe will keep rising on most draft boards. He's an excellent linebacker and team leader.

There is nothing sexy about selecting an offensive lineman that high in the draft but his father Bruce Matthews had a Hall of Fame career playing most of his years in Houston. 14-time pro bowler and 10-time all pro. Jake Matthews, great football genes aside, would instantly make our offensive line good again by plugging him at right tackle as a rookie. Eventually he could move to left tackle but Duane Brown when healthy is one of the better ones in the league.

Right now, the Texans currently start Derek Newton at right tackle. He's the worst right tackle in the entire NFL.
I'd rather just upgrade that position in free agency. Using a high draft pick at right tackle would seem like a luxury pick.

I'm already agreeing with you friend, I get really down on myself when I look back on the last 5 years, winning only 9 playoff games and only 1 superbowl... Teddy will easily surpass that with the disciplined and focused Justin Blackmon tearing it up every week, and the sure-handed Marceses Lewis moving the chains should a 3rd down even be necessary on a given drive.

The funny thing is Chad Henne isn't as bad as people make him out to be. At least when he plays the Texans. LOL
In his last two games against the Texans, Chad Henne has 593 passing yards with 4 TDs and 0 INTs.
I can't wait to see what he has in store for us on Thursday Night. My guess: 300 passing yards with 3 TDs.
