Jesus Acevedo Jr. ‏@jhacevedo
Rumors floating around that Jon Gruden has been spotted at Bush Airport. Could he be meeting with Bob McNair and Rick Smith. #Texans

A month ago, Jon Gruden said he wanted to coach again despite having fun broadcasting games for ESPN.

While Gruden’s career as a broadcaster has been successful, he doesn’t deny that he would like to coach again.
“I haven’t lost a game in 3½ years,” he said. “But no, I would like to give coaching one more try.”

I'm ready to see Tom Brady put on a show today. Let's see if the Texans show any signs life on either side of the ball (I doubt it). I'll be keeping a close eye on the Jaguars versus Browns game at the same time. The Vikings play the Bears in an early game as well. Also the Falcons and Bills game is important but that's a later start time and part of the FOX doubleheader.

The top 4 picks in the 2014 NFL Draft right now... Including the strength of schedule tiebreaker... Weakest schedule has the edge

1. Jacksonville Jaguars - 2-9 (523)
2. Houston Texans - 2-9 (.551)
3. Atlanta Falcons - 2-9 (.565)
4. Minnesota Vikings - 2-8-1 (.526)

The Texans just have to lose all five games left against the Patriots, Jaguars, Colts, Broncos and Titans.
Thursday Night's game when the Texans play at Jacksonville will likely tell the story but let's finish today's game first.

That tie by the Vikings could cost them the top pick. I think they'll win a 3rd game anyways.

I don't even know what music to listen to. Nothing gets me amped up for Texans games anymore.

Some 3 Doors Down I guess. That song "Loser" so we end up with the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
NFL Sundays used to be fun. Now they are just boring and I want them to end so we can move closer to next season.

I'm not even sure if my excitement will ever return with this joke of a team. Probably on draft day, but I haven't felt this way about the Texans in a long time. Not since David Carr was starting at quarterback. I just can't believe that we are back in this position, aka the worst team in the NFL.

I can't even sleep. Just anticipating a Patriots blowout win today.

And then the real fun begins on Thursday Night when the Jaguars beat us for a second time this year.

It'd be funny if you guys drafted Fresno's Derek Carr... Ruin him like you did his older brother rofl.

Oh God! The nightmares that would give me. Even if he fell to the Texans in the second round that would be unbelievable if they drafted him.

With a good O-line, I'm sure he'd be fine. You guys only ruined your first Carr by letting him get hit too much.

We could have a decent offensive line next year if we sign a good free agent right tackle or draft Jake Matthews in the first round. The ironic thing is we have three pro bowlers on the O-Line but Wade Smith (LG) and Chris Myers (C) have greatly declined. They are not the same dominant lineman when we don't have a run game to play with. And Duane Brown at left tackle has battled injuries all year long. Not having Arian Foster has hurt the entire offense. No play-action passes, no bootlegs. No easy short passes that Arian Foster would turn into big gains.

I still want Jadeveon Clowney if we get the first overall pick. Use our first pick in the second round (33rd overall) on the best available quarterback. It's a deep draft class for quarterbacks but a guy like Clowney doesn't come around every draft. The fastest way we're going to compete in 2014 is if we pair up Clowney with Watt. That will give opposing offenses a lot of fits. I'm tired of seeing J.J. Watt double teamed every game, all game, it has to be frustrating for him. He needs to play with another man possessed on that defensive line who is every bit as dominating as he is.

You can draft a pass rusher any time. JJ Watt was drafted 11th overall. It's not every day that a team get to have the #1 pick and a chance at a franchise QB.
