Hey do any of you guys have a subscription to Chron's Digital subscriber?

Is there a sports article you want to read from there? I can probably access it. I used to be a digital subscriber years ago. I can try and find my old account or make a new one. All of their on-line articles used to be readable even without subscribing.

I just haven't been as excited to read any of their featured articles lately which require you to be signed into your chron.com/sports account. The Texans are 2-6, the Astros went 51-111 and any news about the Rockets, the only good team in the city right now, I find from Jonathan Feigen's twitter account. Most of my Texans fix I get from TexansTalk.com as I usually post there once or twice a week.

Case Keenum has been a nice boost of excitement for the Texans but we're still 0-2 in his two starts. Stats wise, he performed well enough to beat the Chiefs on the road but Alex Smith picked up the win instead. And then Keenum performed better than Andrew Luck last Sunday Night but Andrew Luck came away with the win. Hopefully he'll come away with his first NFL win at Arizona on Sunday afternoon.

It's a team game and right now our special teams unit is horrible and our defense usually falls apart in the second half of games. I thought we played too conservatively on offense in the second half without Gary Kubiak, who suffered a mini stroke at halftime. But we put ourselves in position to still win the game had Randy Bullock not missed three field goals. Wade Phillips will coach the team at Arizona but Gary Kubiak will be back for the following game against the Raiders in Houston.

Arian Foster is a constant "game-time decision" and he usually starts the game and leaves the game after a couple of carries in the first quarter. It's beyond frustrating and I'd rather see him shut down until he's 100 % again. Put him on IR for the rest of the season and allow him to come back healthy in 2014. The same goes for Ben Tate, who continues to play with broken ribs. For crying out loud, I know he wants a big contract in free agency but he's putting his long-term health at risk.

Despite Randy Bullock’s struggles all season, and even working out free agents Tuesday, the Texans are sticking by their up-and-down kicker.

“He’s got to get it done,” interim coach Wade Phillips said Wednesday during a press conference at Reliant Stadium. “That’s the bottom line, his production. He started out poorly, then he started kicking really well and I think he got away from his technique a little bit last game.”

Bullock is 13-of-21 on field goals this season. He missed three field goals last Sunday during a 27-24 home loss to the Indianapolis Colts, the last of which would’ve tied the game and sent it into overtime.

Really hope we clean house with the coaches, maybe get Manziel in the first and keep Keenum as the starter and see what he can do.

What's the key to beating the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon? Do a good job covering Larry Fitzgerald and don't allow Patrick Peterson to rack up interceptions and big punt returns? What else? The Texans need to end this six-game losing streak. I don't care how they do it but I'm not sure I can stomach another loss.

I don't care about having a better draft pick. All I want to do is see the Texans win these next three games in a row against the Cardinals, Raiders and Jaguars, and at 5-6 they would probably be a game or two out of the final wild-card spot in the AFC with five games left. At that point the 2013 season could become interesting again. Just because they lost a couple of nailbiters to the Colts and Chiefs, two very good teams, that gives me a little hope going into these upcoming games.

Any plans to salvage our 2013 season are over now. It was another good game today but they came up short for a third game in a row. It sucks to lose the last three games by a combined seven points. This team is just bad at halftime adjustments. It's hard to believe the Texans had a 21-3 halftime lead against the Colts, a 20-3 halftime lead against the Seahawks and a 17-14 halftime lead against the Cardinals and they lost all three games.

At 2-7, the Texans currently own the fourth overall pick in the 2014 draft.

That could be the one bright spot to this horrible season. We still have a shot to move up to the third, second and even the first overall pick if we keep losing. We need Tampa Bay to beat Miami tonight to have a really good shot at the top pick. The Jaguars finally won today so that's something to keep an eye on as well.

We could be in position to draft DE Jadeveon Clowney, OT Jake Matthews, DE/OLB Anthony Barr or ILB C.J. Mosley. I don't think we will draft a quarterback in the first round. Case Keenum has played well in three starts despite not having a reliable running game. 822 passing yards, 7 TDs and 0 INTs. He did throw for a poor completion percentage today (22-43 for 51.2 %) but a lot of that had to do with Arizona's strong pass rush.

I'm torn on who we should draft in the first round. Jake Matthews would solidify our offensive line. His father Bruce Matthews had a hall of fame career playing a lot of years in Houston. Our offensive line needs some help. Derek Newton at Right Tackle could be the worst starting offensive lineman in the entire NFL. But I would hate to pass up on a premier defensive player like Clowney, Barr or Mosley. We need more help on our front seven. J.J. Watt can not do it all by himself.

We have so many needs. It may be wise for us to trade down even if we end up with a top five pick. But a good draft, along with a healthy Arian Foster and Brian Cushing, could help us become a playoff team again in 2014. This was just one bad season. But I feel pretty upbeat about next season. We just need to finish these last seven games. If we tank and finish 2-14, I wouldn't complain. Just because we no longer have a chance to make the playoffs.

So many problems. If we end up with a 2nd or 3rd pick, I hope we go after Bridgewater. Can't pass up a Franchise QB.

You may be right. Especially in a division with Andrew Luck. The thing is I've been very impressed with Case Keenum. I'd like to see what he can do with a better offensive line and running game. It seems like he's just tapping into his full potential right now.

The current odds of the Texans finishing with a top five pick is now 70 %
Their odds of landing the first overall pick is now 15 % with Tampa Bay's win tonight.
