Since when is defending property by means of lethal force legal?

To me and as I've said, and is my opinion, that he went into this thing wanting to use that gun. thats it.

That's completely irrelevant and doesn't matter one bit.

Wanting to use the gun is not illegal. He ACTUALLY used it correctly, defending himself against attackers. That's what matters.

A lot of people WANT to use their guns all the time, it doesn't mean they do until they actually have to for self defense like Rittenhouse did.

I am hugely in support of strong gun control. I own guns. AR15s should not be allowed to be purchased.

That being said, the only thing he is guilty of is being a dumbass.

Yeah. bro. thats literally why I stated MY OPINION. no where did I ever say what he did was illegal. I'm just saying a 17 yr olds mind might be a little cartoonish when bringing a gun to a riot. He knew what he was getting into. thats why he brought the gun. At 17 or any age with a gun going into a riot, but especially before 18, you're not going into a burning city with an ar-15 without trying to hype yourself up to use to even go into the riots in the first place. At 17 I probably thought I'd be friggin Duke Nukem rolling into those riots. So again, I believe he defended himself..but did so with a smirk. needless to say its terrible parenting regardless.

I don't disagree with you

Kid is a punk, we can all see it. Not guilty, but still a punk.

The kid needs to be punish because we think something may have possibly been different if hypothetically maybe his skin was a different color. It's called Guilty by Hypothetical Scenario, pretty cut and dry if you ask me.
