Whitner is extremely versatile, he's played FS, SS, and nickel CB. Vocal leader, 8th overall pick in 2006, only 24 years old with 50 starts under his belt already, should be a bigtime upgrade for a lot of teams at either safety position.
Williams was a pro bowl alternate in 2009, and I can tell you this much, it wasn't because of the fan voting. Beat out 1st rounder John McCargo for the starting spot when they were both rookies, he's really turned it on over the last two seasons, leading the NFL in tackles among DTs in 2009. He has placed #6 and #4 for total metric value among starters during that period, should be a good pickup for ANY 4-3 team in need of a DT. Also won a national championship with LSU.
Williams could be had for a 3rd, or the two could be packaged for a 2nd round pick. Pm me or MarijuanBlessMe if interested.
