Nah Reid has been saying this whole week that he’s getting better. I think internally they are eyeing a week 5 return date. More likely it’s that Mahomes looks even better than they expected and the other teams in the afc don’t look special so Veach is considering going all in for a super bowl

Yeah as of now are key words. Mahomes is a solid QB, can he stay healthy a full season? And also how good will he be when teams have more film on him to watch and prepare?

I have faith in him being a good starter for years but expect his number to drop heavilly over the course of the Reg Season.

I truly truly was hoping for 3-3 and was expecting a 2-4 start between this gauntlet of first 6 games (before season started these 6 teams were, on paper, all very very good)

At this point for me, we’re playing with house money, now I’ll be disappointed if we lose these next three games but the way our offense is playing I don’t see that happening unless we really shit the bed.

These first 6 games I tried to get everyone to curb enthusiasm prior to the season, but I’m looking dumb for that take. Though I do still think he regression is coming. He can’t stay on this Pace.

At least after these first 6 games, it doesn’t look as daunting of a schedule, though the browns game looks a lot harder as well as the broncosX2 and the ravens games all look tougher than I thought preseason.

I think he’s gonna be a solid qb, maybe not an elite guy but definitely our franchise qb for a long time to come. He doesn’t get hit too often and doesn’t take unnecessary shots a lot, but he does get hit sometimes. Yeah, he’s legit on pace for 69 touchdowns (nice) so I expect it to drop quiteeeee a bit lol.

Though I do see him as a top 10 qb in the league this season as far as performances go you know? His ceiling is super high but I think his floor is fairly high as well. Just how consistent can he be over the long haul. I think the game vs the jags will be truly telling of how good he really is. Because if he lights up the jags (I don’t think it’ll happen) then that’ll be really fucking scary to the rest of the league. But if he struggles vs them like I think he will, there might be tape on how to beat him, and then we’ll see how the qb god Andy Reid adjusts and how quick patty can adjust.

They also play Denver this week in Denver in a very important game. You're going to learn a lot about how good Mahomes is this monday. The Jags is a tough test for any team but Denver in Denver is gonna be their first real test.
