Not a fan of TJ bring in Case.

I wonder why Schaub kept his helmet on last night...did he think he was coming back in?

I think there is much more to it than just Schaub. It looks like receivers are not getting open...We need different plays...we need to change it up. That pick 6 was the exact same play that lost us the game vs Seattle.

I'm very curious to see what Kubiak has in mind on addressing the issues we have this year.

We saw a much different team vs the Chargers in the second half then we have all year. What they had was the drive and attitude that they must come out on to the field with.

Tank time,

I was only kidding when I said to tank for Jadeveon Clowney a few months ago. Although the thought of him and J.J. Watt on the same defensive line would be scary for opposing offenses. We could draft a quarterback early in the second round if we were in that position (first overall pick).

We have some easier games coming up. We just played the two teams from the past Super Bowl along with a solid Seahawks team. We should have gone at least 1-2 and not 0-3 in those games but there is plenty of time to make up for it. A lot of season left and 2-3 isn't the end of the world. Even if we lost every game left and finished 2-14 like we did in 2005, it's not going to land us the first pick. The Giants and Steelers may both go 1-15.

The thing is, I'm thinking more of winning the final wild card spot in the AFC playoffs. It's going to be tough to catch the Colts for first place. What we need to do right now is beat the Rams at home this Sunday, and then win a big road game at Kansas City. If we can get to the bye week 4-3 everything will seem more manageable. And then we play the Colts at home with two weeks off going into that game. Win that game and at 5-3 we'll be pretty close to the Colts for first place and also own the tiebreaker.

It takes one win to start a winning streak. The Texans had two winning streaks of five games and six games last season.

I think the Texans can make the playoffs if they just focus on winning the next game. Beating the Rams is all that should be on our mind.

I would suggest to run the ball with Foster and Tate a lot more (as in 40 times a game - 20 carries each). We're about to play the Rams, Chiefs, Colts, Cardinals, Raiders, Jaguars twice. Wouldn't be shocked if we won the next six games in a row. The Rams (27th), Colts (30th) and Jaguars (32nd) are at the bottom in rushing defense. The Chiefs are ranked 21st in rushing defense. The Raiders (12th) and Cardinals (2nd) are good against the run but two teams I think we can beat if we play a good game all around.

The Texans are pissed off now and their schedule seems more favorable - four of the next six games are at home. I like our chances to beat even a good team at Reliant Stadium like the Colts. Going to be tough to win the road game at Kansas City but we can't worry about that game yet. Have to beat the Rams first.

Since Gary Kubiak took over as head coach for the Houston Texans back in 2006, they have an impressive 43-6 record when they run the ball 30 times or more. And five of those six losses were one score games. Seems like they need to get back to just running the ball a lot more per game. It usually nets winning results. Like I mentioned in my last post, they're about to face a lot of bad rushing defenses coming up, including four games left against two of the worst which happen to be in our own division.

Awaiting Kubiak to speak for his Monday conference.

Curious what he has to say about Schaub and what they ran into last night.
