I’d be so happy with that.

I hope they can somehow keep Suh as well but he may be the one we lose.

I think for Suh, if he wants another ring this is his chance but it'll be for 5m or so. If he decides to retire, he has a pretty solid shot at HoF but 2 rings makes the case far stronger.

He's a clever bunny, you would hope that money is not the driving factor for him

Keeping him paired with Vea on the line is huge. It means the world for the LB's and leads to a ton of pressure on the QB in addition to being excellent against the run. If they lose Suh I expect they'll try and find a replacement in the draft if they can, although I've also seen people predicting they target an edge rusher.

I'm super happy they kept Godwin though, honestly. I consider him very important to their offense and even playing hurt last year he made some bullshit catches and just opens up the field for the rest of the guys on offense.

Signing David was obviously huge for multiple reasons, sentimental among them, I want him to retire with the team and hopefully it happens.

Barrett will probably be paid to go elsewhere though :(.

I wouldn't count out Barrett - the thing that we have right now is a winning team with a serious shot at the playoffs and sb again.

That is important - and I wouldn't be surprised if we said to Shaq long term deal, as much as we can this year but next year and the year after, 19+m per year.

Why not accept a backloaded contract?

Oh for sure, they have the luxury of being a draw on the back of a successful situation, I just hope they don't get too cheap with him and offer him a good deal so he doesn't end up on the Ravens or Browns or some shit.

Apparently gmac wants to come back on the cheap. If Suh quits, I'd be up for that
