Didn't like two of those rookies crash later in the season?
But yeah you would be a fool to draft a receiver that high. I don't think receivers should really be taken in the top ten, TBH.
Allen Robinson went on IR after the week 10 game against the Cowboys with a stress fracture in his foot. He had 48 catches for 548 yards and 2 TDs at that point. He was on pace for over 70 catches and over 900 yards. Robinson also missed all of training camp and preseason with hamstring injuries.
Allen Hurns who was an UDFA, finished the season with 51 catches for 677 yards and 6 TD. Not too bad for an UDFA rookie. Him and Robinson set NFL records, by being the first duo of rookie WRs to catch at least 48 passes for the same team.
Marqise Lee had the hardest adjustment period. He missed training camp like Robinson did, with a hamstring as well. He then missed 3 games during the regular season with the same hamstring. You could clearly tell he was struggling for most of the season, but he started to pick it up after the bye week. He was also buried on the WR depth chart until then. That's when Robinson got put on IR and Lee had to step up. He was the 4th WR behind Robinson, Shorts and Hurns for most of the year.
The whole Offense struggled towards the end of the season. It clearly took a hit when Robinson got put on IR. He is definitely the possession receiver. He might not always put up those sexy numbers, but he's the guy who's going to move the chains when it's 3rd and 6 and you need that 1st down.
