I don't really understand how someone can brag about how broad their musical pallet is and then vehemently berate others for their musical taste, unless they're purposely being ironic for the sake of trolling.

And if you're automatically hating every song that achieves any sort of mainstream popularity then you may as well just admit you're a hipster like wydz and go listen to emo screamer music together.

People who try and preach their opinions on music are basically the same as religious idiots who try and force their religion onto people.

There's nothing wrong with having a different taste in music and there's nothing wrong with being religious. Nobody wants to listen to them spew that bullshit on either subject though.

I actually had an epiphany similar to what you're saying reading that little argument you two were having. I realized arguments about music are about as effective as political and religious arguments when it comes to changing someone's mind about the subject. Everyone believes something different. Looking down on someone else for not believing what you believe when it comes to music is akin to a hardcore Christian looking down upon everyone else for not being enlightened enough to accept Christ.

/I can't help but think of those Christians from the Starvin' Marvin S.Park Thanksgiving episode lol

Who doesn't love Kim Deal & The Pixies? For the most part I like your taste in music WrathOfGod. Do you play any instruments?

Have you heard Kim Deal's band The Breeders? They have a few good albums. You've prob heard the song Cannonball at least on the radio.

My dad used to play their Last Splash album when I was a kid. He would wake me up in the morning by playing music.

I only recently got into the Pixies, but I really like them.

/e now I've got that song above stuck in my head lol.
