bruh, cable management
I have so many extra sata and power cords currently connected to my power supply which are not plugged in to anything... I've had them since I built this case ~5 years ago rolf. They used to be neat, but after just moving around basically everything but my mobo, I'm too lazy to organize them again.

The problem is your case imo. It should have grommets for the wires to pass into the back side of the case and get that rats nest cleaned up. Depending on your card it could be overheating with all that mess in there. My first recommendation would be to get a new case.
They can be found cheap these days, I got my corsair 500r for 70 bucks after MIR and its plenty roomy. This is a bad picture but

My final idea would be to suspend the drive with bungee cords, then you can have more wiggle room to position it. As long as you're not moving the case in a car or something this is completely safe and many prefer to do it this way for mechanical drives due to vibration
I do need a new case - this one has been terrible since the day I got it. I just got it as part of a bundle that the computer building section suggested for me (it had a big MIR at the time).
I haven't ever considered the bungee cord method - at this point I'd probably rather just buy a new case. Which I'll probably do. I'll have to keep an eye out for a sale on a good case over the next two months since I couldn't rebuild it until may anyway
