pretty sure majority of the viewers went to sleep after that 28-7 score lol
Three more days away until the Titans game. I'm glad it's a normal 12 PM noontime start. I don't have to wait until 9:20 PM on Monday Night. The Titans are one of the more physical teams in the league coached by Mike Munchak so it's not going to be easy. But I'm confident if they're able to stop the run that Jake Locker isn't going to beat the Texans with his weak and inaccurate arm.
I mean wow, Jake Locker wasn't even getting it done in practice about a month ago. Interesting article I came across.

Indeed, Titans quarterback Jake Locker had something of a tough practice on Sunday, per Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean. In addition to the three picks, Locker was “off target on several other throws,” Wyatt observed.
After practice, Titans coach Mike Munchak, per a transcript from the club, noted that on two of the interceptions, Locker would have been sacked before ever throwing the ball in a live-game situation. Munchak also said that “there are a lot of things that go into a ball being picked off.”
Said Munchak: “It was good to see the defense make plays and the offense — this was just one of those practices where they never really got it going consistently.”
We can't afford to lose to a guy like Jake Locker. If we do then we are nowhere near a Super Bowl contender. He didn't even perform that well against the Steelers last Sunday despite the 16-9 win. He barely completed 55 % of his passes (11-for-20) which is in line with his career numbers. The Texans have to stop the Titans running game and force them to air it out. Taking an early lead against them will help control what kind of game their offense plays.
We can't afford to come out like zombies in our home opener and allow the Titans' physicality to dictate the tempo of the game like the Steelers did at Heinz Field. I think it's pretty embarrassing to allow a team that has a mediocre quarterback to come into your house and beat you. It happened late last year with Christian Ponder, who beat us despite completing only 53 % of his passes (16-for-30) so we can't just assume we can show up and win this game.
TL:DR Version: I don't think we're going to come out flat in our home opener and overlook the Titans like the Steelers did.
