I was in Duluth for 4 days for a conference.

The city was VERY Korean so I fitted right in.

I'd like to get back into traveling someday. Too much work to do with setting up / cleaning up my house these days though.

I couldn't believe how cheap things were compared to WA. (Especially food and gas)

If I can make Seattle money and live in Georgia, I'd be set.

haha yeah, we always talk about going to colorado or somewhere else, but when you can live in a new construction 5,000 sq ft home in a nice part of town for under a million dollars it's hard to give that up lol

The housing market is crazy around here. A million dollar house is not really a million dollar house anymore.

The house I'm living in was purchased at 230k twenty years ago. It hovered around 600k about the past 2-3 years. Now it's hovering around 900k and rising.

I mean, I don't know how a typical middle class can afford a house in WA right now.

yeah, real estate here is absurd too right now tbh

we bought our house 4 years ago for 550k and we agreed we'd leave in a few years because this would "never be a million dollar neighborhood"

house 3 doors down was listed at $850k the other day, bidding war took it to $950k

another one is under contract, almost certain it's over a million lol

East side of the state prices are way lower.
I pay 750/month rent for a 3 bed 2 bath place about 5 miles from town.

That wouldn't even cover my old 2 bed apartment lol. I paid $900/month and that was two years ago.
