As long as you guys aren't tryna give him crazy ass money he'll be in New England next year. But if you guys do I won't care, in fact I'll point and laugh.

No you won't, most Patriots fans would be upset.

If the Jets somehow bring in a capable QB, and sign Revis... They will give the Pats trouble for sure.

Yeah but when was the last time that New England gave out two big contracts in an off-season... especially to guys who have similar roles?

They should start giving out lots of backloaded contracts. It would maximize their chance of winning during the last few years of Brady's career.

Wasn't aware there was a capable starting QB available.

But why would I be mad if the Jets overpay for Revis and tie up a ton of their cap in him? Only hurt them, we'll live.

That would symbolize that they believe Brady is done, I give it one or two more years of championship push and then a small rebuild (Maybe 1-2 years). I doubt they would shell out that much money to the secondary though.

Or just stick to the plan because they ARE winning.

Jets have the cap space to spend, they need to spend money on a CB... might as well bring in the best one on the market.

They're going to shell out the money for a CB regardless, you would prefer for them to do it on Revis? No way

Jets have already been linked to the Eagles in talks for Foles.. Aka a capable starting QB

If they believe he has more than 2-3 years left, then I guess it would make sense to hold off. However, once he gets to the point where Peyton is now, they should sell out their future to win-now. Odds are they will need to tank for a new QB afterwards anyway.

I agree, but they might have too much pride to do that. They've only known winning, would they be willing to give up a year or two of that? Probably not.

Realistically they should start preparing right now for Brady's retirement....

Of course I'd prefer him back with the Patriots but I wouldn't be mad if he went to a team overpaying for him.

Not afraid of the Jets even with Revis AND Foles. Sounds like a quick fix to a huge problem to me. They're not going to be good long term, heck I doubt they'd even get a wild card spot with that group.

You don't think they'd get a wildcard spot with MAJOR improvements at WR/CB/QB, arguably their three weakest spots? I think you're wrong.

They lost 7 of their games last year by a touchdown or less, that means they stayed competitive even with being weak at those 3 spots.

They lost two games to the Patriots by a combined 3 points....

This isn't just some random team overpaying for him, it would be your biggest rival and someone in your division... A division that has been the most improved by far this off-season so far
