Cutlers arm is as strong as Favre and definitely in the running for strongest in the league today. It's his decision making that kills him... along with a shitty line.

brett's old ass can still throw as hard as cutler lol, i'd hate to see the comparison at the same age.

Whatever you say man. For the record, it was the scouts who compared him to Favre. He didn't say it. And there's plenty of articles that rank him second in arm strength behind only Rodgers. If you need more proof, go watch the TD he threw to Hester against the Vikings in Chicago last month. There's a ton of sites describing how tough of a throw that is and crediting it to nothing but his arm strength.

man oh man this is weird, i understand there's some tough feelings still left from favre but damn. i personally saw and watched the interview where he compared himself to brett and elway and considered his arm equal or greater, he was playing for denver at the time. i understand he has a strong arm but cutler has a handful of those throws, brett has a highlight reel that would take a whole day to watch in fast forward of those types of throws..

oh you're still mad at him, that's fine, but interceptions will naturally come when you've thrown far more than anyone else.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/350468-brett-favre-dispelling-the-myth-of-the-interception-king

his td to int ratio is far from the bottom when it comes to the best qbs of all time.

what? how do you get that i am mad at him? he revitalized an organization that had been slumping for years. not only that, i grew up with favre. please stop taking my analysis and making completely off-the-mark assumptions

In order:
The article that references the interview you're talking about and shows that scouts made the comparisons and he simply replied to it.
The article that talks about his arm strength coming out of the draft.
An article that breaks down the TD to Hester I was talking about that shows his arm strength.

I don't know why you think I have hard feelings regarding Favre. I'm simply pointing out that Jay does have plenty of arm strength and is definitely comparable to Brett. To deny that is just silly.

lol i don't have a problem, i simply was stating that i think cutler is in fact a girl and thought it was quite comical that he compared himself to brett favre. i thought that'd be fairly easily agree'd upon. yeah he has the most interceptions, but just look at the facts.

all i was simply stating is

not trying to get you mad, not sure where the excitement came from here it seemed to me as a casual conversation.

wasn't the interview i watched but your point is taken, i just don't like cutler for my own opinions such as his attitude, drinking problems and the one interview i watched. i'll vent about how much i don't like jay in the vikings fanthread, noone here seems interested lol.

Why hate Jay when all he does is throw interceptions to us? What's not to love about a quarterback who does that!?

no anger. but when you put words in my mouth it is a little frustrating. the first games i can remember watching were the years right before the back to back super bowl runs in the late 90's. i grew up in wisconsin and have favre to thank for sucking me into the cheesehead culture. you making statements of pure conjecture is what upset me.

also, when people are ignorant and are not objective in thinking, that also rubs me the wrong way

well making a statement about favre, being a packers fan, and it's about interceptions upset me. it's fairly obvious why he'd have the most interceptions along with touchdowns and attempts
