I'm a little upset the way we're playing today. Down 17-16 at halftime to the Saints?
There is no excuse for our defense to give up 17 points in the second quarter alone.

I don't even care if we come back to win, we're not looking like a Super Bowl contender.
San Diego is going to beat us at their house if we play like this on Week 1

At least Randy Bullock is making his field goals. The second half is starting now. Looks like Schaub is done for the game.

Already a special teams meltdown to start the second half. Nice.

This is BS! I would make all of the starters play a full half against the Cowboys on Thursday even though I know they won't play.

Can't score on four downs inside the 5? I'm surprised we didn't just kick the field goal there instead of a turnover on downs. Gary Kubiak has a ton of plays he could call inside the red zone and it's always the same predictable plays the defense knows is coming.

Just a damp and rainy Monday morning in Houston today. Not even rain, just that depressing drizzle coming down. Perfect weather to sum up yesterday's game. There is no excuse for the Texans to blow a 10-0 lead at home and lose 31-23. It shows a lack of focus by the entire coaching staff and team.

I hope the backups at least show me something positive on Thursday Night against the Dallas Cowboys. Arian Foster and Ed Reed should be ready to play in two weeks, in the Monday Night season opener against the Chargers. It sucks not to have Antonio Smith for that road game due to his one game suspension.

That pre-season loss yesterday against the Saints really drained away all of my excitement. Maybe I'll feel better when the regular season starts. I just hate when I see the same old things defeating this team. It's the same crap we watched at the end of last season and during the playoff loss at Foxboro against the Patriots. And yeah, we were also in a close game at halftime in that one (down 17-13).

We don't have the mental toughness to finish games against the elite teams. It's like we don't even show up to play in the second half sometimes. That's a problem we have to solve soon. Teams that win Super Bowls play a full 60 minutes. Gary Kubiak is always saying that but the team is never showing that on the field. And with Matt Schaub as our quarterback I feel more pessimistic than optimistic.

The Texans play the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium tonight. 7 PM and the Final pre-season game. I hope the backups play well. Just judging by the sports-talk shows, people calling in, the fans of the Cowboys seem more excited to win tonight than we do. I just want to enjoy the game and see something worthwhile.

Ben Tate better stay healthy this season. That training with DST (Dynamic Sports Training) will hopefully pay off.

For the most part, the starters are ready for the season to start, especially Andre Johnson. He had 7 receptions for 131 receiving yards in only the first half against the Saints before coming out of the game last week. It's amazing how many yards he had the final 8 games last season.

People just assume he's washed up because he turned 32 years old. Fact is, he can likely play at a high level until he's 36 or 37 if he keeps in great shape. He works out with Jerry Rice in the off-season and does the same vigorous workout routine that led to Rice playing into his 40's.

I'm a little worried about the concussion DeAndre Hopkins had two weeks ago against the Dolphins. He didn't play the last game against the Saints and I don't know if he's going to play tonight against the Cowboys since it's only four days later (was listed as probable). As long as he's ready to play Week 1 at San Diego. Since it's a Monday Night opener at least he'll have 11 more days to rest if he needs it.

Really great first drive for Case Keenum and the Texans. Cierre Wood with a couple of big runs and DeVier Posey made a nice first-down catch.
Dennis Johnson out of Arkansas finished the drive with the TD run. Already 7-0 Texans. The Dallas Cowboys fans are booing. LOL

Cierre Wood, had 19 carries for 107 rushing yards on Saturday Night

Four undrafted rookies have made the Texans 53-man roster. Running back Cierre Wood, outside linebacker Willie Jefferson, linebacker Justin Tuggle and cornerback A.J. Bouye. They all played well last night during the 24-6 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

“I believe I can play this game with the best of them. I just need my chance,” said Wood, who played college ball at Notre Dame. “These games are put here in front of me to showcase my talents to (the) world. Not just this team but the other 31 teams out there.”

It looks like Cierre Wood won the third-string RB spot after Arian Foster and Ben Tate. He beat out fellow undrafted rookie RB Dennis Johnson, who will likely be placed on the Texans' practice squad sometime on Saturday once he successfully clears waivers. It's a nice problem to have. A lot of good options at running back on the depth chart. Don't forget that Arian Foster was once in this position. Undrafted and he even spent most of his rookie season on the practice squad.

Wow, four udfa's made the team. Are they still keeping Karim? Cierre Wood has more upsides but Karim is a veteran, and kubiak loves veterans.
