I mean it's pretty unfair to say he fell off the face of the Earth. Any sensible person would've made the same decision as him given his health concerns.

Iirc it was a herniated disc in his back. I remember being so upset when I realized how severe it was.

I'm glad he was smart enough to stop when his body told him it was time to. Hate hearing about great players being crippled later in life
