It is amazing how well we play vs the best teams in the NFL.

When we play our best there's not a team that can beat us.

We are COMING TOGETHER as a TEAM... we look scary

We get Canty back next week. Should have ALL hands on deck besides maybe KP

Jacobs visits Giants locker room after game

Quote
SAN FRANCISCO – I couldn’t find Brandon Jacobs in the 49ers locker room after the game.

I waited until every player left. Still no Jacobs.

So I walked to the Giants’ locker room. Who did I see? Jacobs. He was talking to Justin Tuck, his former teammate.

Tuck was sitting on a stool. Jacobs was leaning against the locker, wearing camouflage pants and a green polo shirt. He was talking with his hands. It seemed like he was explaining something.

Tuck didn’t say much. He listened and shook his head a lot, as if to say, “Ain’t that shame.”

After ten minutes, Tuck stood up and he and Jacobs hugged. Tuck left but Jacobs didn’t. Jacobs looked around for someone else to hug. He found a couple trainers, hugged them and told them he misses them.

Apparently, #10 is still their main focus. Former Giants wideout Mario Manningham has characteristically (attempted to) call out his former rock-thrower and company, showing that he has been “educating” his current teammates on the tendencies of his former ones:

While others out west choose to pay compliments to him.

And then some defensive players chimed in:

Including Patrick Willis…

I love Mannigham but guy was dumb as a rock. He screwed up so many plays, I doubt it did the 49ers much good to hear him talk about Eli's characteristics.

Michael Strahan visits Giants defensive line meeting room before 49ers game

Hopefully this will wake up the pass rush..... it worked last time  B)

LOLWAT, STRAHAN IS CO-HOSTING LIVE WITH KELLY???????????
Who the hell would have made that decision?

LOL Manningham(love the guy too still) didn't even know the playbook himself that's why it was comical to say he was going to share "intel" with them LOL

Stra has the type of personality to blend in with ANYONE.... fucking love the guy

Surprise, surprise: Giants again look like NFL's most dominant team

Quote
The New York Giants are the best team in – Whoa! Did you see that RGIII touchdown run?

The New York Giants are the best team in – The Pats lost? Tom Brady must be bent!

The New York Giants are the best team in – Romo fail!

Our football attention span is too short and our desire for big headlines is too strong to appreciate the budding dynasty in our midst. The Giants are only 4-2, but they are still the best team in football. And Sunday, in what was supposed to be a "revenge" game for the 49ers, the hit men from Jersey traveled west and proved again they deserve far more buzz than they get.

The 26-3 drubbing was vintage Giants: efficient, decimating and borderline boring. That's the problem. We're all so set on controversy and debate that the Giants don't move the needle even when they move mountains. What's to debate? Eli Manning is outstanding. The running game is overpowering. The receivers are reliable. The pass rush is fierce. The allegedly weak secondary picked off Alex Smith three times Sunday. And the coaching is unflappable.

Yawn.

The Falcons and Texans have looked terrific. But what have they really proven? Nothing. If the Giants played either of those teams in the playoffs, would you really bet against Big Blue? Are the Falcons and Texans really that much better than the team the Giants destroyed on the road Sunday? The Ravens? The Cardinals? The Bears?

[Also: Tim Tebow looks like unwanted man with Jets]

Sunday's matchup was nonsensically billed as a revenge game, but that gives the Niners too much credit. The only revenge the Niners can get is if they win a Super Bowl, and that wasn't going to happen in Week 6. Instead, the Giants got revenge on all those who thought they got away with something in the NFC Championship. People have laughed at teams who have come to Candlestick trying to run the ball on the Niners. Well, the Giants ran the ball down the Niners' throats. They played physical football against an extraordinarily physical team, and they bent Jim Harbaugh's boys into a pretzel. It was the worst loss of the San Francisco coach's career. Next!

Remember, the Giants' schedule is brutal – by design the toughest in football because they won the Super Bowl. So a 4-2 record so far is a little deceiving. And the Giants have never threatened to run the table anyway. They just win playoff games and statement games, like they did Sunday.

There is no lightning rod on this team. No matinee idol. No Next Big Thing. No Gronk. There is no "Is this guy a cancer? Is this guy a savior?" Even Justin Tuck, with his multiple Super Bowl rings, just isn't as interesting as predecessors like Lawrence Taylor or Michael Strahan. Tom Coughlin isn't as quotable as Bill Parcells. Martellus Bennett isn't as New York as Mark Bavaro. The Giants are even in the shadow of the Giants. The only real debate is whether Eli is better than his brother, which he is. But everyone still talks about Peyton Manning because of his comeback and his commercials. That's fine. More likely than not, however, Peyton will be watching his brother in January just like the rest of us.

The funniest part is that the Giants play in the biggest media market in America and they're still taken for granted. All the East Coast bias in the world can't save the Giants from their own excellence. (Seriously, if you walked into a bar and asked "How did the Giants do?" you might get a comment about Buster Posey or Madison Bumgarner.)

Yet this is a team that's on the cusp of being a dynasty. Think about it: The Patriots were a team of the decade with three titles; the Cowboys were a team of the decade with three. The Giants have a legitimate shot at that level of achievement. And with two titles in their pockets, they look better than ever.

It is only October. Lots can happen. But a lot has already happened to the Giants. They lost Mario Manningham and Brandon Jacobs to free agency. They lost Hakeem Nicks to injury. And they keep on going, with hardly a hiccup. We'll keep gossiping and bickering and rightfully praising the season's surprises, because that's how we are as a football society. But until further notice, the New York Giants are the best team in – When is Tebow going to start?!

LOL this guy is great.... great read... obviously I agree

There's a dynasty budding that no one is taking notice of... maybe this win today will open people's eyes

Yea that was a nice little read. The problem with football fans now is they want all flare. They can't watch a classic football game and be impressed anymore. The Giants play their best ball when they play in games like yesterday. Not much flare, but plenty of domination.

How about Smith and Harbough though? They were rattled as fuck all game rofl.

Looked like Harbaugh threw that challenge flag without any consulting from his advisers. Listen to some of these quotes.

And despite what Aikman says I doubt anyone told him to throw that. No one with access to the replay would tell him to throw the flag. He flicked it like a tough guy the second they announced the call.

Way to waste a challenge Mr. Hardass

Maybe reading too much into it, but if you look at that way he threw the challenge flag when he claimed that Bradshaw fumbled - it just looked smug or arrogant. Like it was a clearly blown call and he couldn't believe he had to throw the flag.

Rodgers may have the stats because of last game but there's not a better QB in the NFL right now. Eli should get serious MVP consideration.

The stats are not as sexy as others but what he's done without Nicks, leading us back vs TB, no run game early in the season.... just outstanding.

If he cared about stats and passed it every time we were in the red zone the stats would match. Fact is we run the ball often. I don't think Eli threw the ball over 5 times in the 4th Q... from mid 4th he didn't attempt another pass... I can't find out exactly when in the 4th because my DVR didn't tape the game for whatever reason.... which is odd because I hit "stop recording and save"
