If the Texans beat the Titans next Sunday they'll be 5-5 going into a huge Thursday night game vs. the Bills.
C.J. Stroud, Jalen Pitre and half their starting offensive line should be back from a concussion by that game.

Tough stretch of games coming up after the Titans game: Bills, at Colts, at Chiefs. But Houston's defense is ready!!
If they can go at least 2-1 in those games. I'll even be greedy and say 3-0. They'll smash Arizona and Raiders after.

All of a sudden the playoffs are within reach. A wild-card spot at minimum. That's all they need to make a deep playoff run.
What would help the most is if Joe Mixon came back down the stretch. Adding that legit power run game is huge late in the year.

Why not? A lot of people are picking the Ravens (also 4-5) to make the playoffs. Texans own the tiebreaker.
At the moment the Jacksonville Jaguars own the final AFC wild-card spot (7th seed). They ain't all that are they?

And Texans still have big games left vs. the Bills, Chiefs, Colts and Chargers to punch their ticket to the playoffs.
Texans are good enough if they get some healthy starters back. They had seven total starters out of today's game.

I'm including Joe Mixon and Tank Dell. Who both are attempting a late-season comeback. Mixon is more likely.

They haven't even had a stud running back like Mixon all season! And all 5 of their losses were by one little score.
3 of the losses they were in position to win. So you can't tell me Joe Mixon, and even Tank Dell, wouldn't have helped.

In hindsight, yeah, they should've found a way to beat the Rams, Buccaneers and Broncos. They were in position to win all three games.
But that's just the way it goes sometimes. You have to learn from your heartbreaking losses. Nobody feels sorry for you when you lose.

Texans are a very good 4-5 team. They just haven't had any luck staying healthy. But I've never made any excuses other than crediting the other team.

And KD delivered today as well. It was a beautiful Sunday for sports. I cried at the end of both games.

At one point today the Texans had a dire 1.6% chance to win. Rockets also had a 3.5% chance.
Both Houston teams winning had something like a 0.014% chance to win. And they both won!!

Days like these don't happen often. You have to cherish them and appreciate them when they do.

The Texans and Jaguars still play the Colts twice. Would love to see the Colts lose all four games! <3
Turn the AFC South upside down and make it an exciting division race down the stretch of the season.

The Colts are good. They win every close game. Elite O-Line. Elite RB. But Daniel Jones is Daniel Jones.
Precious Daniel Jones can't hide his flaws forever. The Texans defense will get a hold of him very soon.

Because the Texans suck. The Ravens are 4-5 because they were without Lamar for several games after losing to KC and Buffalo.

Texans are a good 4-5 team that has simply been offensively challenged. Texans defense may be the best I've seen in the last 25 years.
It's funny how fans say the Texans suck. But the head coach of the opposing team they play every weekend gives them a lot of praise.

The Texans are not a good team. They are 1-4 against expected playoff teams. Obviously not counting the Jaguars in this since they aren't likely to make the playoffs either.

The Chiefs, Chargers, and Broncos are probably all going to the playoffs. That leaves 1 wild card spot open for the Steelers/Ravens Bills/Patriots depending on which of those teams doesn't win their division.

And we host your Texans here at Arrowhead, for what will likely be an elimination game for you guys since that's the tail end of a 3 game run of Bills, Colts, Chiefs.
