Nerlens, Tarps, Manginagod and a few others live near Bmore. ez commute.

Since I'll probably be moving to around college park, I'm sure I'll meet a few of y'all at some point. Maybe go to an Orioles game or something... or better yet, a Terps game

My brother might be doing grad school there too, and if I can find a job that does tuition reimbursement I will be returning for my mps.

GL on finding dat job m8. I gave up trying to find a decent job and just went back to school lol

I've got to make a sweet application letter and CV to hopefully land a job as an undergrad academic advisor. Apps are due tomorrow, working on it now.

Hopefully I get it. There are only a few assistantship jobs for their MA students it seems, and only some of them pay full tuition--this is one of the full tuition jobs.

I pierced my own ear twice in HS. I'm too old for that now though--stopped wearing an earring once I turned 19 I think.

Advising is hit or miss, but not a bad gig. I went to advising a decent amount and most of them seem to enjoy themselves.

I got really poor academic advising throughout college. Poor advising basically wasted thousands of dollars and about a year of my life (of course I need to take responsibility too, but my advisors should have said something as I said what I was doing).

My angle in my application letter will be to mention this and explain how passionate I am about academic advising so that some other kid doesn't get fucked over like I did.

My first advisor recommended I sign up for a health class that counted for one of my core requirements. Not only was it MWF 8:00am, it also had prerequisites I obviously didn't have. She was fucking retarded.
