More of a box safety but still fine in coverage, gotta be a starter. Curious of the contract they gave him vs what CJ got from Detroit

Missed tackles last year:

Edmunds: 6 in 886 snaps
CJGJ: 11 in 729 snaps

Nice to see that the outside FA's they've brought in are fairly young too

since u post this heres this
According to PFF, Morrow surrendered a 83.6% completion rate when targeted in 2022, which was tied for 11th worst in the NFL among linebackers with at least 250 pass coverage snaps. In run defense, Morrow was worse. His 13 missed tackles on run D tied for third most among linebackers, and his 14.8% missed tackle rate was tied for fifth-worst among LBs with at least 250 run defense snaps.

i do think he will play better than this in pass coverage for you cuz we couldnt pressure the qb, but he loved to miss tackles

He's a Kyzir White mold and will be replacing him. We don't need him to be a star, literally just a solid player filling in for another solid player. It's a good move considering the Eagles are only paying $1M for him, and it's not guaranteed. Literally no risk.

Remember, the Bears had arguably the worst defensive line in the league this past season. Their defense stunk, and he will be surrounded by a lot more talent and a MUCH better defensive line this season.

Nakobe Dean replacing TJ Edwards, and Morrow replacing Kyzir White.

this video is an absolute joke, on the 2nd play he draws a gap that isnt controlled and it was morrow's gap as if it was impressive he made the play unblocked.
Id like him as a depth piece but definitely not worth a 12 minute video.

he had a 15% missed tackle rate and it showed itself in games.

Again, he's a low risk, high reward pickup. They're paying almost nothing for him, and his contract is not guaranteed. All he has to do is play at a replacement level for it to be a bargain.

A whopping $940K base salary cap hit. He could be replacing similar caliber and style of player in White, who was solid but not great by any means.

Morrow played every game, and every snap last season for Chicago behind what was probably the worst defensive line in the NFL. Safe to say he should be a bit better with a lot more talent around him. If nothing else it's depth.

Eagles and Jalen Hurts reached agreement on a five-year, $255 million extension, including $179.304 million guaranteed, per source.

Hurts becomes the highest-paid player in NFL history in a deal negotiated by Nicole Lynn of Klutch Sports Group and Eagles’ GM Howie Roseman.

Hurts gets $110M fully guaranteed at signing (third-most ever) and $126.5M fully gtd before Year 2 (second-most).

He gets a raise this year, including a $23.294M signing bonus, and now is signed through 2028 on a deal that lets Philly keep the team intact.

Jalen Hurts’ five-year contract extension includes a no-trade clause — a first in Eagles’ history, per source.
