a lot of non new england fans are very uneducated on this whole "deflategate" mess... I'm not an expert on the subject, but I know quite a bit from listening to local boston sports radio (weei) throughout the summer (those guys actually read all the reports and hearing transcripts and shit)

Brady has a really great shot at playing week 1. from what i've heard & read Judge Berman has found more holes in the NFL's case than the NFLPA's/Brady's case

I hear Judge Berman was questioning NFL's lawyers hard about goodell's logic equating brady's suspension with P.E.D. use... I love how this Judge Berman actually has common sense unlike most of the NFL lawyers/hooligans

NFL's lawyers have even admitted they don't have any solid evidence or "smoking gun" to direct quote Goodells/NFL's lawyer (think his last name is Nash?)

Most of the players believe he only deserves a fine or a short suspension, not that surprising.
The big voice is other owners who see it as an advantage for them, and then the other fan bases who just hate the Patriots.

Any non-biased fan can see that the punishment doesn't fit the crime whether he did it or not.

Those names don't surprise you? Seahawks and Jets players defending Brady? I'm a little surprised to be honest while meanwhile Revis The Mercenary said Tom should man up and face his 4 game suspension (paraphrasing). Should be the other way around...

yeah the owners, especially guys like John Mara and Jerry Jones (which is not surprising at all since the pats face the 'boys on the 4th game...) have been backing goodell on the 4 games.

Interesting point. The owners, who control the situation, vote for a policy that caps the fines that can be levied on them.

Meanwhile the players and coaches, who are nowhere near as rich as the owners, can get hit with much bigger penalties.
