A construction worker took a cell phone video of the new HD scoreboard at Reliant Stadium. Can't wait for gamedays!
He's mocking their efforts to compete with the Cowboys big scoreboard in the middle of the field.

I'm assuming the bottom black part of the video will be for the money-making ads, LOL
That's just one though. There is another identical one on the other side of the field.
CBS Sports confirmed the size of both videos are indeed the biggest in the U.S.

I think they should just use the entire scoreboard for the video. That would look pretty epic.
They have have a chance to really pimp it out and make it a great experience for the fans.
It could just be it's not fully ready yet and we may see the entire screen for the first pre-season game in August.

Houston will host Super Bowl in 2017

Reliant Stadium will be host to the largest video boards in all of sports next season.

One notable addition to Reliant Stadium will be extra-wide video boards on either side of the field. These boards will be ready for use this season but also helped make the Super Bowl bid stronger.

NFL Network asked Texans owner Bob McNair if he enjoyed telling Jerry Jones that his new video boards would be bigger than the one in Dallas. "Yeah but I didn't tell him about that until after he voted," McNair laughed with a smile.

That old saying, "Everything is bigger in Texas." And not just one but two. That's going to occupy 20 % of the stadium (10 % each).
I think it's crazy myself (takes a lot of potential seats away) but pretty ballsy on the Texans part to set themselves apart.

What record do you think the Texans need for the 1st seed in the AFC and home field advantage in the playoffs?
They had it in their grasp last year before choking it away the final month of the season.
Texans in the playoffs: 2-0 at home, 0-2 on road. Their schedule is difficult so it's going to be tough just going 12-4

I am thinking with luck we could do it with 11-5.
Patriots: without Hernadez and gronk back surgery this summer as well as Welker. They could easily slip some, but knowing BB and Brady they will be right there at 11-5/12-4
Broncos: I feel like this might be the year for the Peyton Manning Broncos. i have a feeling they will take 1st seed. With the addition of wes welker they should benefit.
Ravens: Had a pretty high turnover rate on players if i remember right. They lost Ed Reed and Ray Lewis which were staples of their defense so it will be interestin to see what happens there. They are the Superbowl Champions and i believe majority of their offense is coming back, but they are beatable. Flacco is good, but he isnt a Brady or Manning.

Honestly i don't see much in the AFC South, but they are all improving and improving quickly

I dont think the texans will win that first seed, and i have a hard time seeing them getting to afc Championship, but it is possible and if Deandre comes in and does what we are all hoping they have a solid shot!!!

dont see patriots getting pass the afccg, if that. broncos will be up there. ravens will be good but not as good imo. think broncos and texans are the top 2 team in the afc.

With it be July 4 i thought i would just talk about JJ Watt and just how great of player and person he is.

He went on the USO tour this summer, and he seems so sincere about anything he does... Really the Golden Standard in the league for good guys.

It is just so good to see a guy as good as Watt doing good in a time of the NFL where you got 20+ arrests... He appears to truely cherish the impact that he can make not only on the Football Field but what he can do around Houston, and just around American as a whole.
