Why should WRs see it come out? They spot the ball in the air and a drop usually means the ball should have been caught but wasnt so I blame about 90% of the drops on the WRs with the exception of a few over/under throws that the WRs didnt have a chance to catch

And why wouldnt you want bullets?  If the ball gets there .3 seconds faster that means the player has .3 seconds sooner to accelerate.  I look at it like this, this is the NFL and they're getting paid millions of dollars for a reason. Catch the fucking ball.

Can't edit previous post lol

The angle matters a lot in regards to being easier to catch

Pitchers in baseball often use a different arm angle to throw batters off

And sure the faster that better--but don't expect your drop rate to be great

Stafford is finding the guys and the article gives the perfect example against Philly, wide open Pettigrew-drop, wide open Burleson on the next play-drop, wide open Joique-drop

I mean come on

And the reason I believe the blame is on stafford rather than the receivers is because it's not like it's a specific receiver struggling--it's all of them

And actually I cant really blame the WRs, theyre being put into situations where they are guaranteed to fail. Kris Durham and Pat Edwards started against GB. What the fuck? Those guys wont make the practice squad on other teams. Pettigrew is notorious for dropping balls. Bush and Bell are having issues. The craziest shit happens to calvin like the TB game. Stafford throws it into his stomach, that should have been a catch. UDFA Fauria runs the wrong route when he should have ran a slant against GB in the EZ. These players are not starters, they should be 4th and 5th on the depth chart.

I dont see how this is Stafford fault at all

Also, I used to think Stafford makes stupid mistakes but after witnessing all these drops that become INTs I cant believe our luck

Whos all of them? Kris Durham is supposed to be a good player? Pat Edwards? Jeremy Ross? Pettigrew?

These guys are no namers and Pettigrew has a reputation of dropping balls, perfect example against Dallas. 4th down, Stafford throws it directly into his midsection between 2 defenders. He falls down and drops the ball?

Nailed it. It is "all of them" because all our wide receivers are nobodys. We need more talent at the WR position. I think that getting a solid #2 WR (or even a solid slot guy) is more important than a new corner.

The article says Calvin has 8 drops as well--Reggie comes here and all of a sudden catch catch?

Come on man

I would be for that, but it doesn't look like Mayhew knows how to draft WRs. Broyles and Titus are two of the biggest busts from the second round in recent years so that kind of explains why there is literally no talent outside of Calvin at the WR position.

Calvin obviously we can never get mad at. But Bush has dropped some ridiculously wide open passes. Again, Stafford is finding the guys but they are dropping them because they are not good enough to go up against average CBs

and even when they manage to get open some how. Balls are dropped what the hell lol
