Hiring back Locksley seemed like the logical move.
From now on, parents and recruits are going to question how the athletic department cares for players due to how Durkin and the university's administrators handled the McNair tragedy.
Locksley comes from the era before Durkin. While he alone can't erase what Durkin's staff did, he can hopefully instill a little more trust in local recruits, given his track record with the area--there's probably no one better than him at connecting with local recruits. Let's not forget Locksley was able to get a commitment from 5-star recruit and current Heisman candidate Dwayne Haskins before the Edsall era ended and Locksley was let go.
Locksley wasn't really a creative OC when he was here, but maybe he's learned a few things and improved his scheme since then by working with Saban. We'll be average under Locksley, I think/hope.
