if you mean by "lose/lose" that the NFL has already done permanent damage by dragging brady's name through the mud than yes i agree, BUT if Brady/NFLPA wins the case it's certainly not a loss for Brady... It's a loss for the patriots for Kraft not fighting the team penalty

let is rest? it won't "rest" til this is resolved lol...

This. It's not as though AmineA is dragging out this process lol. Most of us are still hoping we have our QB to start the season, I don't know why that's so unreasonable.

Patriot fans think brady has any leverage after breaking his cell phone LMAOOOOOOOOOO

Yep, kinda seems like he does. Seeing as there's no definitive evidence against him. Goodell can make rulings off his own bias, we gave him that power, but that kind of shit isn't going to fly in a real court and will work against him. Maybe more shit will surface but Goodell's case is looking weak as fuck for the time being, and that would without a doubt, give Brady some leverage... I'm not exactly sure why you're having trouble with that concept.

Do I think Brady had no knowledge of the practices that went on regarding the footballs? Fuck no, you'd have to be a complete idiot to think that any QB in the NFL doesn't have at least some control/knowledge over the balls they receive. However, opposing counsel doesn't have the evidence to prove that he actually told someone to deflate footballs under the minimum PSI level. That topped off by the fact that the officials didn't bother recording what PSI levels the balls were at before the game started, only makes the NFL look bad, and leaves open speculation that the balls could have been under the required PSI level from the get-go, meaning the fault could potentially be on the officials, and not the Patriots. It just shouldn't be very hard for Brady's camp to point that out, and then move into discrediting Goodell's ruling as nothing more than bias.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I think Brady had general knowledge that balls were being under-inflated, as that's his personal preference. I don't think it had an impact on the game, but that's completely irrelevant. Had the balls been deflated further after the original PSI check, with instruction from Brady, he deserves to be punished, and I do believe four games for that is fair. However, you can't punish someone without actual evidence. It shows bias and weakness to let your emotions dictate your rulings, which is where Goodell fucked up. Unless something else surfaces, he's going to get embarrassed in court. Destroying his phone isn't a factor the judge can take into consideration, it was within his legal rights to do so. You'd have to be a complete idiot to think that action will be the deciding factor in this case.

yes, there is absolutely no "smoking gun"

what I believe happened is I think the NFL/Goodell actually thought they would find proof of Brady instructing someone to deflate the balls under the 12.5 or w/e... and when they didn't, they had to come up with "something" after spending $3.6 million dollars on the Wells investigation (which was edited to make Brady look bad, hence the language of the "more probable than not.." and "generally aware" cuz they didn't have shit)... Wells& Goodell got caught in a lie... let's face it, it would look utterly silly on the NFL's part if they spend Millions of dollars on an investigation just to come up with nothing (which is essentially what happened lol). I think one of the most laughable/fucked up parts in Goodell upholding the 4 game suspension is him comparing Brady's violation to a P.E.D. violation... are you fo real Goodell? it's clear they are out to get him because that's what the majority of the most influential NFL owners want (John Mara, Jerry Jones, etc)...

Agree 100% man.

We'll see. Baring some crazy unknown evidence, or testimony from multiple staffers, I don't see how Goodell thinks he has a chance in hell with a real court. I'm hoping they figure this shit out soon, I just want it to be over. The entire thing has been ridiculous.

Do you have a link to the source on the Edelman injury?

Amendola stepped up huge last year, he might finally be able to live up to our expectations. Our offense is going to be solid if Amendola can continue off what he did in the playoffs. Gronk, Edelman, and a good Amendola, that's going to be a fucked up corp to stop for most secondaries.

I know Tyms was actually carted off, and Dobson just got hurt apparently

patriots are being very "hush hush" on edelman:

it's probably nothing serious but I just hope it doesn't reappear later in the season.. you never know

everything I've heard on Amendola has been positive throughout this camp, Gronk has also been healthy which is always great

Honestly, our offense will do fine with just Gronk. It's a mismatch regardless of who you put on him lol. I'll be keeping an ear out on Edelman, hopefully it's minor and hopefully as you said, it won't be a factor later in the season.

Lets hope that our offense can stay healthy and that Brady comes out just throwing fucking bombs because of how pissed off he is lol.

LgBlount left the practice forld with a "leg" injury/problem

Sigh...

Good news is he walked off slowly on his own power and he'll get an extra week to rest due to 1 game suspension (if it's serious)

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- LeGarrette Blount, who projects as the New England Patriots' lead running back, left Friday's practice after injuring his right leg.

Blount, who among other things appeared to be having his right knee examined by the athletic training staff, walked off the field slowly under his own power after remaining down for a few minutes.

At one point, while Blount lay prone on the ground, coach Bill Belichick approached him, which reflected the general concern of the situation.

The Patriots are practicing in full pads, and Blount was injured on a running play when an offensive lineman appeared to be blocked into him.

His absence from practice moves Jonas Gray up a notch on the depth chart.

just seen that on patriots.com, they usually don't release the details right away if it's serious all I seen was " apparent leg injury."

that sucks tho...

Stork & rookie Malcom Brown both hurt as well ugh, LaFell still not practicing, along with the 3 other WR's not practicing :/
